I will leave to US soon. I do not know any person living there and I prefer if I can go to a place in which I can find people that can help me especially in my first months in US. I want to know waht are the states or cities that are the most welcoming to Arab immigrants. And where is the Arabs usually live in US?

And why did so many 'intelligent' German Generals obey his orders for years when it was obvious (after Die Kristal Nacht) that he was hell bent on exterminating the Jews in Europe among many other ethnic and social groups?

If this country wants future citizens to rule over and tax, then they better had make it a safer place. Who would want to bring children into this gun-ridden, increasingly violent land?

OK, the school I used to go to allowed me to pack my radio as long as it didn't disturb class. (I keep it off anyway!); but this new school in KY is refusing to allow me to pack it saying it will be seized if packed. From a legal stand point am I allowed to pack it and if so, what law says so?
Some one told me that the amateur radio service is legally defined an emergency service in KY. If so, then what law says that?

It's kind of unique. According to manufacturing symbols on it, it was produced from 1939 to 1945, so it was definitely used during the war. Also, it looks to be entirely nickel plated. I will admit, the workmanship looks kind of shoddy, and it hasn't been cleaned or oiled for at least 60 years. I also have the bayonet with it, with a nickel plated-looking scabbard as well. Can anyone tell me what it might be worth? I have had several people look at it and they all say that generally Arisakas are worth little, but they all say that they've never seen a rifle quite like mine. Every time I've asked, nobody has thought it was a fake or reproduction. Could someone give me some background or advice?

Considering that he was the lone a top-tier candidate, one would think that he would have garnered a much larger share of the votes after spending millions and touring heavily across the state. Yet he managed only 32%. Does this truly reflect positively on him or is it all in vain?

So what in the world is the BIG deal? How many times will we see the same questions asked over and over again and for how long? Do people NOT check to see if this has not been a topic that has been brought up 20 times in the past few hours alone? The option to check previously asked questions is available.

Will we be Karl Rove'd to death for several weeks? Is it really that much of a big deal? Your thoughts are appreciated.

Name one candidate from each party (Yes I mean both parties not just Republican or just Democrat) that you think would be a great leader if elected President. Also it might increase your chances of being best answer if you tell me why.

Leadership as in mending the political divide between parties who want the same thing, but are selfishly fighting for scraps to benefit their local constituencies and just to say their opposing parties are wrong. We need someone that can bridge that gap and create solutions instead of pointing fingers and backing off creating more problems.

I posted a question entitled, "What's the dumbest t-shirt you've ever owned?".

Two stars and 27 answers...a huge increase over the norm.

I guess there is a reason it is called "Popular Culture", but holy smokes.

Does this reflect a crisis, or success?

Could this be taken to mean that the efforts of a relative few in maintaining our unprecedented wealth and our Constitutional liberties have been successful?

Don't people understand that less than half of the eligible voters in this country don't bother to vote now? If people want to protest what's going on in Washington, they should be trying to get even more people to vote. It would scare the hell out of DC if 70 or 80% of the eligible voters turned out, rather than the usual 38% or so.

I heard a story once that a woman sent an email or put on a web sight she asked the general public for help with her credit card bills. As far as I know she was upfront and honest with her story. Then I caught a bit of news that she was being charged with something. Just wanted to know if what she did was legal??
