I kept hearing in Michael Moore's film Sicko the phrase "free healthcare". I just wonder does anyone believe that this is economically possible? That any national healthcare program raises taxes to pay for such a program?

Do we in the US really want bureaucrats controlling our health care program?

Honestly, PETA seems to think that they are the determiners of Michael Vick's guilt or innocence. Maybe the courts should just do away with due process and just let PETA handle all the law suits from now on. Vick is in deep trouble and yes, he's probably guilty but the NFL is doing the right thing by letting him keep his job until he is convicted by a court of law. PETA needs to go find some lab animals to liberate and let the court system and the NFL do it's own work. Any opinions???

I've hear conservative on here say obama told La Raza something about people against illegal immigration are racist. Now given the conservatives penchant to misquote Obama, (he doesn't want to teach sex ed to kindergarten children, and thats just pathetic if you believe that) I was wondering if anyone can post a link to a LEGITIMATE news source with this quote, (video would be great) I saw where Obama talked about the civil rights struggle of both African Americans and Hispanics, is this what people are talking about? Thats the only thing I saw that could be misconstrued by people that didn't like him.

I have worked at this job for 2 months and they new I smoked when I started and it was no problem, but now some of the other employees are starting to bug me about it. Telling me to quit (which yes I know I need to) and just really buggin the piss out of me. Well, today the boss called me into his office and gave me a employee handbook which NOW states that there is to be no smoking in the building (which I knew that duh!) or on the premises at all. WHAT!? It's not just that he has been calling me into his office alot lately as if he is trying to make me quit instead of having to fire me. He also added in the handbook no outside work or anything else that would hinder your perfromance in the workplace. HELLO! I go to school at night....so what? am I just supposed to quit school too? What can I do when this is supposed to be an EOE?

My friend was horrified that she had accidently left a magazine from a department store under some store flyers in the bottom of the cart and left the store without paying for it. She was afraid that she could have been charged with shoplifting. Could she have? If not might not some thieves try this trick themselves?

if they aren't "bilingual"?(spanish) why is it, that in the country in which i was born, i must learn to speak another language in order to be employed but those who come from another country don't have to learn english in order to converse properly? if i were moving to another country, for whatever reason, i'd learn that language so as to be able to get along.it's as hard for us to learn another language as it is for those coming into the country.why is it, we have to change? why does america cater to spanish speaking people?

I am trying to help a friend who has one. Personally I think it is bogus, but it is there anyway. The local systems will not or cannot tell him the expiry. So he thought by looking online, I might be able to find something that will say the different durations if there are. We both live in Ontario, Canada. My own searching is poor, and all I find is stuff for abused women. His deals with harassment. I can't seem to find anything much. Please advise. I have this friend who's brother is a complete moron to say the least. He is abusive to his step-son and animals, treats his family like crap and is very two-faced.

It's bad enough that his family has to deal with his crap, but I've also had to deal with it before and I was seriously considering filing a law suit against him for harassment and a hate crime.

I have Xbox live, so does him, his brother (my friend), and his wife. I have gotten harassing messages from him. He also thinks I'm gay (I'm not), and constantly sends me random, rude messages about 'being gay' over Xbox Live.

Isn't this considered harassment, a hate crime against gays (although, again, I am not gay)? Do I have the right to request these message logs from Microsoft from their records, because I have no access to them?

He also has threatened to yell at me for honking my car horn in front of his house when picking up my friend. I know for a fact he has a bad temper and I'm afraid of him assaulting me.

I have legally changed my name but I have yet to change it on my birth certificate as well. I live in a different state than I was born in and the state of my birth indicates that I need to have a noterized affidavit letter sent to them. My question is what does this particular affidavit suppost to look like? What is the format? What is the information suppost to include, anything particular?

I love movies and I am thinking of creating my own movie site with reviews. I am also thinking of putting pictures of the movie onto this site and I might even post a trailer of the film online.
