There are over 750 terror suspects held in at Guantanamo Bay. As suspects they can be found innocent. So what is our a plan for what to do with those who have spent years locked up in a foreign military prison, eventually tried and found not guilty?

I don't have much, it seems each side is to focused on making their parties look good even if it is extremely counterproductive and wastes time.

My friend's dad is a retired Captain of the US Army, and he cannot get a job. Why is that? Why a Captain who is a war hero and served his country for so many years cannot get a decent job.

My friend is in the Navy Rotc and Im about to go the Air Force. We will both have college degree, him in engineering and me in chemistry. But can we get good high paid jobs like 160-200k jobs?

I seemed to notice, that soldiers give their life away to serve this country, but the majority doesn't seem to give a hoot about it.

Companies want fresh qualified graduate applicants who will make their image better instead of veterans, who they see as nothing but killers?

My friend told me that is all about the Pride of serving in your country and I agree with him.

But Can I still get a job after my service over and still make as much as to my counterparts who will be well established in the the job market?

Is it too late to take our country back out of their hands? Any ideas? The only thing I know to do is vote for an underdog candidate. Like Ron Paul or someone similar.

Although it's clear this girl's problems needed to be addressed and 3 warnings didn't work, it is unusual for a person to be in solitary for a DUI and a violation of probation. Granted, she was shown special treatment, did not go through a strip search and was kept away from the general population. Still, the isolation aspect of the sentence seems excessive to me.
In a real prison, three weeks in solitary is given for a serious offense such as a violent attack or disorderly conduct. She is a non-violent offender by classification, yet she is receiving solitary.
Solitary confinement is no joke and can crack anyone eventually.
The worst part of this whole thing is the people who have cheered the decision to lock her up. Remember, she didn't hurt anyone and normal people get arrested for this daily. They do not end up in solitary, though.
She should not have acted entitled and been late to court, but this is kind of extreme.

This is truly a good reason why NONE OF THEM should be elected. So it's important to make sure a person doesn't sleep with the same sex to serve America. I don't think a Soldier getting shot at is worried if a person of the same sex is trying to GROPE THEM!!!!

The Senate actually REJECTED an amendment proposed by John Cornyn that would not allow illegal alien gang members, drunk drivers, sex offenders, and other felons from becoming citizens!!!! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!! Please call or email your Senator or Representative about this! Who would actually want this scum coming into the country?!?! The Senators who voted against this must all be on crack!!!

Yeah the new party name is Republic-rats. They are all the same especially the top tier. The Bush family and the Clintons are very close friends as are many others. I know just because you aren't the same party doesn't mean you can't be friends. Their differences are very slim though and the rest is just pandering to the voters. They are all bought and paid for by corporate America. Think about that before you vote for a top tier candidate.

My son goes to a private Catholic school. Not only because we are Catholic, but I do not want the government to be involved in his education.

Keep government out of our private schools. That is the reason that so many of us send our children there to begin with. Have you seen pulic schools since the inception of the Department of Education? No thanks...that is what we are trying to get away from.

If you can't afford private/Christian school, then I suggest you contact your elected officials or become involved in another way to improve the public ones. Don't drag the private schools down with you! Not to mention, if you are a member of the church that the school is through, then we will help you with tuition. I know that through our church, those that can't afford it ARE already being helped.

I am not trying to be nasty...but just as people don't want religion in their public schools, we don't want government in our religious schools.

FAIR IS FAIR!!

Can you identify the person who was quoted as saying:
"Chauvinism is a proud and bellicose form of patriotism...which identifies numerous enemies who can only be dealt with through military power and which equates the national honor with military victory."

Feel free to comment on this quote.

the government has foiled 2 terrorist plots (JFK and Fort Dix) in the past couple weeks. In spite of this, liberals still think that the War on Terror is nothing more than a slogan....or a bumper sticker, as liberal God John Edwards says. The next plot might not be foiled ahead of time, yet taking precautions is considered GOP fear mongering I guess. What will make liberals finally realize that the US is under attack and we are all coming closer and closer to being victims of radical Islam?
