After 10 months of relentless and stressful job searching, I have managed to secure a job with a reputed company. Best of all, this is actually going to be a proper job unlike the constant demoralisation of the workforce in the company I am leaving which is currently downsizing, and is in the process if being managed by a bunch of amatuers who have no experience of project management. What a joke. Good riddance to them. It feels so nice to get out of this hell hole.

"Seeking to rally support for the war, President Bush released intelligence asserting that Osama bin Laden in 2005 ordered creation of a terrorist unit to hit targets outside Iraq, including the United States." .... What exactly does THA have to do with the war in Iraq?????? .... Osama, a Saudi born, hidding in the mountains of Afghanistan, Pakistan or Iran ... yet this is connected somehow to Iraq???? .... hey have you heard about the gas prices? Man! those meat balls almost choked me.
SAME effect, one has NOTHING to do with the other, why is the American public still being taken for fools by this administration. Mr Bush ... please fight Osama, find Osama, kill Osama you have our support, our funds and our devotion but for pete sake leave Iraq alone and stop trying to sell your crappy war when it had and still has nothing to do with the REAL problem: OSAMA.

If someone were to ask you to handcuff them, or to put them in jail for a few hours to see what its like, would you actually do it? Just curious what the reaction of a police officer would be if someone asked you to do either one of them.

I got pulled over for doing 39 mph in a 25 mph. I had my car in the shop for a tune up the day before and when I was driving home from work (where I got pulled over) none of my turn signals or headlights worked. I think my speedometer was effected as well cause everything in my front panel was acting wierd. I thought I was doing 31 or 32mph.
I have a court date in 2 weeks and the officer was really cool about everything even though I was from philly and said I could show up and he'll take the points off and I could just pay the fine.
Would you just take the $95.00 fine and no points or should I mention anything about the mechanical problem to see if that could get me from paying the fine as well?

I am personally excited to hear that the U.S and China are finding ways to benefit each other. But I want to know how others feel about this. Some are saying in my town that this is just an attempt by the Chinese to take over the U.S.

I was 18 when this occurred and have since gone on to become a correctional officer, as well as having numerous jobs in armed security and several different firearms licenses. I don't believe I did anything that serious to disqualify myself

#1 - International Immigration Number, linked to a visa. you have certain amount of time to register after finding a job, employer has to also fill out paperwork. You pay flat tax on everything you make (no freakin refunds), you pay $1000 per year for 5 years to become legal (that is EVERY family member) If you leave the process starts over. Your kids start the same process at age 16, until then they have a minor visa which allows them to go to school.
2) Guest worker program is a joke, thats what is happening now...DUH
3) Anyone that gets caught in the US without Visa, goes home, 5 years no visa. Anyone working in US without Visa, goes home 5 years no visa, and employer is fined $10,000 per employee.
4) Or just send them all home so the working wage in America can go up....
5) Or better yet, what can we do to make Mexico a better place to work...I mean they send home on average $400 a month, we spend billions of dollars on them already...why not???

I had bounced 2 rent checks back in January totaling about $1200. These checks were actually for my girlfriends rent so I am not bound to a lease and I do not live on the property.

Since then I received letters from a lawyer demanding payment which I cannot afford now, now I received a letter from a police department worthless check division.

Am I facing possible jail time if I cannot pay for these checks? The check from the police just demanded payment within 5 business days.

I certainly do not. Why on earth should someone be rewarded for breaking the law? It is really just a myth that illegals take the jobs no one wants. They take the jobs that Americans used to do before illegals made the wage go really low. Also, it is just a slap in the face to people like my ancestors who traveled thousands of miles overseas in crowded, disease ridden ships to LEGALLY receive citizenship. If amnesty is granted is only a matter of time before the USA becomes a third world just like Mexico. I am sick of this country's politicians selling its citizens out. Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves.
