#1 - International Immigration Number, linked to a visa. you have certain amount of time to register after finding a job, employer has to also fill out paperwork. You pay flat tax on everything you make (no freakin refunds), you pay $1000 per year for 5 years to become legal (that is EVERY family member) If you leave the process starts over. Your kids start the same process at age 16, until then they have a minor visa which allows them to go to school.
2) Guest worker program is a joke, thats what is happening now...DUH
3) Anyone that gets caught in the US without Visa, goes home, 5 years no visa. Anyone working in US without Visa, goes home 5 years no visa, and employer is fined $10,000 per employee.
4) Or just send them all home so the working wage in America can go up....
5) Or better yet, what can we do to make Mexico a better place to work...I mean they send home on average $400 a month, we spend billions of dollars on them already...why not???

This is in response to girly_girl's response....Alaska is part of the United States....and second if everyone had a right to be here illegally, then everyone who applied for assylum would live here now.

NO, it was the dimwits that have allowed the minority to abuse the system. We brought it upon ourselves by looking the other way when it was happening. Now that the weather is tempered we cry and whine. The US Citizen was forewarned two decades ago after the Amnesty of the 80's. Nobody took action and the proof is evident today of the Politikos in office which is an indicator that the citizen is still complacent.. United States of America is a Country. Then we have North America (Canada, US, Mexico), Central America (Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama) and South America (everything else south of Panama) America aka The Western Hemisphere as recognized by the UN, WTO and everything in between.....

Do u actually think the working wage will go up?? it will go up ALONG with the prices...
look at the big picture.. without these people, companies would suffer... they get paid little, and do the jobs us snobby americans wouldnt do...
and then if they get rid of these poor workers.. theyd better expect topay people double...
I agree that the immigrants here need to learn to speak english (God knows how annoying it is when they speak amongst themselves)
but there are those that came here with working papers, yet theyve expired.and those SAME people PAY taxes each year! what about THOSE immigrants? The ones that show their loyalty to the US. By being HONEST!

well for one i say get rid of 12+ million of them to start with. shut the borders down so no one can get in to this country. to work etc. this country needs to take charge and take care of business here instead of other places in the world we have out own problems, which are over looked each and every day. stop the anchor babies. born to illegal then your one yourself plan an clear. no one pays a fine and they don't get sent back home that's just how i see it now. they are over looked when they do something wrong they get a slamp on the wrist adn work no big deal. i would have a guy on the street with a dime bag of weed, then let some damn illegel walk for with out knowning nothing about this person what so ever, but that's is wonderful country is for. it's bad enough they don't even know over half of them. I'm not be closed minded but theses people ain't helping me at all with lower wages. the wages suck period. but i make do and don't leech off the system. and if we are so good at helping other countries out like we our with Iraq then what is the problem with helping Mexico. take control! just some of my points is all. more to be added but don't have the time. this country sucks for the most part. to bad a can't break more then one law and get away with it. but thats what happens with a government that we have that don't care about it's own people other then there pockets getting fatter.

first of all, i wanna say that US is not your own country, everyone has rights to live here even though they're "illegal", they came here because they think their own country can't give them benefits or orders as much as America does.. Just deal with it man, don't cry like a baby. If you don't like them being here, why don't you just move somewhere else like in Alaska or something. They are not bothering you aren't they? You're just being a hater

Unlawful Entry is a CRIME. Zero tolerance for immigration-law violators! No amnesty, no "stealth-amnesty." No "change of status," marriage fraud, "exceptional leave to remain," no "Temporary Protected Status." If you break the law, depart or be deported. Illegal aliens kill more US citizens each year than the war in Iraq has killed in four years. Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children. Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants willing to work at substandard wages and working conditions depresses the wages of American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees. Illegal immigration also contributes to the dramatic population growth overwhelming communities across America--crowding school classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, and straining precious natural resources like water, energy, and forestland. Taxpayers are being forced to pay for the free health care, education, and other welfare programs being given to illegal aliens; Those tax dollars could be given back to U.S. taxpayers or used to keep our borders secure; They may be here illegally, but they sure know how to "work the system" to collect "free" medical care, "free" education, "free" food, Section 8 housing vouchers and other housing assistance, and hundreds of other social services. It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Zero Tolerance for Immigration-Law Violators! We must remember the lessons of 2/26, 9/11, and the costs we bear every single day. God Bless the U S A !

AMERICA THE PITIFUL
Oh pitiful polluted skies
Your cities filled with trash;
The freeloaders come pouring in,
their hands outstretched for cash;
Welfare rights, free health care
To leech off our lands;
Packing cities, crime galore,
and outstretched grabbing hands.
America America, you're ripped off and trashed
by aliens whose evil ways have left your
land all smashed.
Oh pitiful, polluted skies
Your land of scum and grime
Thy slum filled cities stink
From drugs and graft and crime.
So in they slither, here and thither
And as if thats not enough;
Jails fill up, as taxes soar,
And life gets tough and rough;
America America, God hath forsaken thee
And left thy land, a garbage dump for scum
humanity
(And we sucker US taxpayers, pick up all the tabs).

To answer your question in a word. YES.
I defy anyone to find another country in the world that does anything like the nonsense being proposed or totally ignores its own laws that already exist like we are doing.
