Sorry the nuts at Fort Dix weren't part of an al Qaeda funded/directed effort. Israel's fights are not our fights, unless we're changing the country's name to Jewnited States of America. And improving law enforcement & intligence isn't a war either.

You are missing a few groups.

Hamas and Hezzbullah. Ask the Israelis about their war on terrorists. Problem is, they are battling Hamas "militias" from a semi-autonomous region with a Hamas government, couldn't the argument be made that the Palestinian areas have declared war on Israel de facto as their military forces, even if they are militia forces, attack Israel regularly?

Let's not forget the latest fighting in Lebanon. Syrian backed militias, Hamas and Hezbullah tied, going at it yet again against Lebanese troops in refugee camps.

There are many, many more examples of militias with ties to Hamas, Hezbullah, Al Qaeda, and other terror groups, the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, who changed their name after the death of Arafat, and groups you have never heard of. And they are operating all over. We just had an independent small cell arrested not a month ago for planning attacks on Fort Dix.

The problem is that after the 1980s, the US government didn't do much about international terrorism. Remember when Libya was found to be responsible for the bombing of Pan Am 103? What happened there? The US took action. Various other actions in the 1980s against groups like the PLO and others were also done here and there. During the 1990s, simply not much happened. Now actions are being taken again. Had there not been a hiatus in the 1990s, we wouldn't be thinking twice about most of the actions the US government is doing to terrorists all over the world.

When the war is won and it's over and militant islam is a bad memory like nazism.

Awww but it's a religion of peace!

Right?

They don't hate us!

Who are we to defend our values, morals, principles, Constitution, or country because that is offensive to Militant Islam.

Harry Reid already said we lost. I guess the lib winning national defense strategy consists of lots of hugging, heads buried in the sand with our a s s e s wide open in the air and shutting our eyes with our hands over our ears rocking back and forth until the bad men go away.

As the future wife of a Navy pilot I know the hardships these men and women face for us on a daily basis and they do so on a voluntary basis.

The sick thing is that this war, these battles are there jobs and it's sickening to me that we allow Congress to prevent them from doing their job.

If we leave Iraq, and come back with our tail between our legs and we bury our heads in the sand and allow militant Islam to fulfill their aspirations all the men and women who gave their lives for this war did so in vain.

What I cannot understand is the lack of hindsight Americans have. This war is no less dangerous than the foes we faced in WWII. Nazis and radical Islam hate Jews and want to wipe them off the planet, we are fighting against the same hate-fueled ideology. It's the same kind of cowardliness with a different name.

It's sad that Americans have short attention spans and convenient amnesia.

Wait a minute! I forgot I should think like libs and follow their political handbook:
1. Blame Bush
2. Blame Republicans
3. Say NO to anything that is offered from the other side
4. Complain offering no solutions
5. Repeat

When will YOU open your eyes and realise that yes, the world is a dangerous place, and yes, there really are people in it that would like nothing better than to drag YOUR body through the streets behind a truck? Be glad you aren't seeing it yet, but that doesn't mean you never will. Oh that's right you're nice and safe holding on to your leftist hate campaign as long as it's all way over there. You don't get out much do ya?

I suppose the Fort Dix Six was a conservative conspiracy, as well.

Face it, we aren't in elementary school anymore. This world will never again feel as safe as it did before 9-11. Sticking your head in the sand and refusing to believe there are terrorists is a fool's coping method. Our military needs our support.

It must feel good to sleep so peacefully in your bed at night, completely ignorant of just how many people there are around the world protecting you. Sweet dreams.

They won't because it is fact! At the rate things are going you will see it sooner than you think. Why should we listen to people who are afraid to accept the truth?
