When you establish the criteria for solving a crime such as a burglary or theft, as 1. Catching the criminal, 2. Returning the stolen property to the victim, and 3. Incarcerating the criminal as to prevent them from repeating offense, what is your local police dept. success rate in relationship to dollars/taxes spent? And are your local police any more or less effective at resolving murders, rapes or kidnappings?

i mean, if he wants to start a war with Iran, what better way to do it than to have Iran capture the soldiers of another country then we can get involved without the USA starting the war. He gets what he wants, more war, take our minds off the scandles and lies, more money for Halliburton. So what if a few guys get killed? He has already shown he doesn't care if americans get killed so british soldiers must mean nothing more than dirt to him.

I live in Buffalo, NY near the Canadian border. It was on our local news today (it was also on CNN, FOX, etc) that a man was trying to swim across the Niagara River to get into the United States (illegally) from Canada. The current started to pull him towards the power generating station, so the Canadian coast guard rescued him. Once he was back on shore (on the Canadian side) the CANADIAN police arrested him for attempting to cross the international border illegally.

It's really rare for a Canadian to illegally enter the U.S., but what I find surprising is that it was the Canadian police who arrested him. If the Canadian police can stop people illegally entering the U.S. why can't the Mexican police?

invoke her Constitutional right to avoid self-incrimination? In case you didn't know, you can't invoke the 5th simply because you don't want to answer questions. It is only legal in cases where to testify under oath would be to incriminate yourself. What did she do wrong??????

But Bush started the war anyway, and Blix was forced to cut the search short.
If he had been able to stay, we could have confirmed that Iraq didn't have WMD without war.

They did after all invent the zero and the decimal. They had plumbing while the Europeans still threw their crap out on the streets. They were oppressed and decimated by both the white Spaniards and their mestizo descendants who tried to be white Spaniards. Their country was taken from them, their women raped and their children killed. And now other countries want to come and bleed their natural resources and still dare to pin the problems of their country on their emigrants? The least they deserve is a holiday.

For example Hillary Clinton promises major health-care reform.How can anybody oppose that because they "just hate her" her hairdo or voice?
Oppose or favor it for practical and political reasons.

i'm 15 and 3 months pregnant. Now i know that's not good, but today me, my boyfriend, and my dad got into a huge arguement and my dad told my boyfriend to leave. And as soon as my boyfriend was gone, which he just stood on the porch, my dad punched me in the head and said to never disrespect him like that again. And i told my boyfriend and he called the police. I didn't know until after he did though. But anyways, the police said that since there was no marks or anything that they couldn't say much. Then they told my dad that it was okay if he hits me as long as no marks are left. Then they're trying to get my boyfriend in trouble for a "false report"! And i'm pregnant. I live in Iowa. But still can they really just let that go? shouldn't they do something?
