invoke her Constitutional right to avoid self-incrimination? In case you didn't know, you can't invoke the 5th simply because you don't want to answer questions. It is only legal in cases where to testify under oath would be to incriminate yourself. What did she do wrong??????

cynthia: Unfortunately for that argument, the Fifth Amendment doesn't protect you from testifying because you're afraid that the questions might be mean.

They all acted illegally.
Including Bush himself.
And they know it and so does he.
The key is to give immunity from prosecution to underlings like her.
Then she has no 5th Amendment defense and can be forced to testify.

As her attorney said "It is the politically charged environment created by the members of the committee ... that has created the ambiguous and perilous environment in which even innocent witnesses would be well advised not to testify," Dowd wrote. I totally agree. It's like a Democratic shark fest out there and they don't care who they hurt.

Too bad scooter libby didn't take the fifth. Maybe he wouldn't have ended up in the liberal gulags. The only thing this administration has done that is illegal is be republican in Washington. Criminalizing policy and ideology is a stalinist tactic.

Might be self incriminating or might be covering up!! But it's okay to be a criminal and commit crimal acts as long as it's got a republican stamp behind it!! That's the message I am getting!

Democrats have the BLOOD LUST and think BLOOD is in the water. Republicans have been surrendering scalps for indictments, kind of like presuming guilt in an IRS fashion. Tom Delay was promised eternal torment in court at taxpayer expense and didn't like the way they said "ETERNAL TORMENT" by lawyers!
