I heard they've passed a measure to raise the minimum wage to 7.35. I'm mixed on this. I make more than minimum wage and in a way I feel like, unless my wage gets raised proportionately I'm getting cheated, and actually poorer comparatively. To put things in context, I understand it there was alot of alarmism to the last minimum wage hike to 5.15, but our economy is still strong. I also know that if I was making minimum wage, I would be all for it. What is your opinion?

If you think the war was worth it, and you think that the handling of the war is going well, would you join and help fight far the cause or let your kids join? If so, why? If not. Why? I support the troops but not the war in Iraq because I don’t quite understand why we're there; it seems like every time Bush sets a goal and it fails the whole strategy of the war does a 180-degree turn. I joined in support of war with Afghanistan but not Iraq. And after 15 months in Iraq I learned a lot. People who say they support the war have the opportunity to go if they want. It’s a lot of people who think that the president is doing the right thing and his presidential performance is grade A i.e. (Fox News), and since military units are finding it hard to meet troop readiness levels, why want loyal supporters volunteer? Its millions of people who support the presidents plan, shouldn’t the military be full. Just a question...

Every time a soldier qualifies with his m16, he zeroes it. If he zeroes it correctly, shouldn't it be correctly zeroed from then on? Everyone I ask says "no" because "every soldier is different and the way they hold the weapon affects it". I thought zeroing is meant to "fix" the tiny incongruencies that occur from one m16 to the next because they are mass produced. So if an m16 is zeroed perfectly, is it also zeroed properly for anyone else who uses it?

25,000 people a year are murdered in this country.

Every 31.5 minutes someone is murdered.
Every 5.6 minutes someone is forcibly raped.
Every 1.3 minutes there is a robbery.
Every 36.5 seconds there is an aggrevated assualt.
etc., etc., etc.

Not to mention the homeless, the poor and the inner city school kids whose education system has failed them.

ALL ISSUES CHAMPIONED BY THE DEMOCRATS AS THEIR ISSUES. Kennedy doesn't care about education, Pelosi doesn't care about the homeless, Clinton doesn't care about violent crime.

But soemhow Iraq is the big issue. Somehow losing just over 3000 soldiers in 4 YEARS is a bad thing.

Meanwhile are society continues to degrade. No morals, no values, no respect for each other.

The crisis is here people, not in Iraq. Its all about 2008. Not doing what is right.

We continue to worship money, property, and power over all else. We should be focused on the U.S., not Iraq.

Iraq is the one thing we're doing RIGHT.
