Say Ann Coulter and they argue "man." Bring up George Bush, and they counter "chimp." Can some libs form sentences?

Just the rabid, drooling extremists. You know - the ones who want to protect you from those evil Boy Scouts.

Liberals are very capable of rational thought. They are capable of rational discussion ( As long as your views do not differ from thiers.) They are all about squashing any ideal that does not fall within thier acceptance. They have no ideas on how to make things any better, but they will be the first to tell you what you're doing, saying, thinking is wrong. They have a difficult time in providing any reasoning in thier ideals, but are quick to resort to bashing when they are questioned. They cannot even get along with thier own kind. The recent Congressional testimony of Al Gore would be a perfect example. The do as I say, not as I do mentallity will come back to haunt them someday. Sit back and enjoy, they'll selfdestruct soon enough.

Some liberals can in fact form complete sentences. Some of us can even contemplate and discuss issues without resorting to ad hominem attacks.

Ann Coulter and George Bush, however, appeal more to fear and insecurity than to reason and discussion. Coulter is shockingly insulting and extraordinarily counterproductive except as a driver of wedges, and Bush doesn't think that he has to listen to or compromise with anyone at all, because he sees himself as "the Decider".

As for me, I'm happy to discuss issues with people who are interested and informed. I do have a somewhat radical outlook, but that's not always necessarily a bad thing. Even my Midwest conservative in-laws keep trying to get me to run for office. It's pretty funny, especially considering what they thought of me when I first shacked up with their daughter!

Rational thought is not the patent of anybody and even libs think in the same terms as you but both of you are busy insulting each other andforgetting the primary issues of public welfare and good governance.......Or is this a ploy to divert public attention?

They are no worse than others here, truthfully i doubt most here are representative of libs/cons or dem/repubs. I have seen some far fetched questions/answers from you, even i am guilty of getting caught up in the rhetoric at times.

because if 'rationality' entered the equation they would be unable to argue, its same reason why it took more pork than all the swine yards in America to get the withdrawal timetable passed in the House, and yet the claim victory in passing it.

Not when it comes to politics.
But, the same could be said about the far right.

I believe all extremists use insults in lieu of an intelligent answer.

you can always pick a liberal out of a crowd by the way they argue and debate. this isn't just for politics but for every aspect of their lives. liberals cannot seem to debate calmly, they get heated, hot, flustered, start name calling and then throwing their hands arms about wildly -- all this over something as simple too.

They do not have any independent thought, and they do not do the research necessary for a true debate; they only regurgitate what they have heard other liberals say.

Full sentences are well out of a liberals capability. They only know lies they've been told and lame innuendos.
