They don't seem to be any more stupid than anyone who thinks democrats or republicans have the public's best interests in mind. 9/11 may be an exception, but there are many factual instances of governments misleading their people and caught having conspired to do no good. The Tunguskee Airmen are a good example. Nooo, the United States goverment has NEVER done anything to harm its citizens...[That's sarcasm in case you didn't know.]
