Catholic leaders in the UK say their adoption agencies will not place children with homosexual couples in defiance of new anti-discrimination laws.

They have threatened to close the agencies down and have been backed by the Church of England, which agrees that Christians should be exempt from rules which they say go against the teachings of the bible.

Should faith organisations be exempt from gay rights legislation?

Is the Catholic church guilty of blackmail in threatening to close its adoption agencies?

How important are matters of conscience?

There is a widely accepted theory that crime rates dropped after abortion was legalized throughout the U.S. in the 1980s

Suppose this is fact. (whether you believe it or not)

Would making first trimester abortions completely free lower crime rates further, and lessen the dependency of support from welfare in some families?

what about free birth control to anyone over the age of 15, and make it more available than just going through planned parenthood?

I'm not saying I would support this, but what effect do you think it would have on crime and poverty rates?

intelligent answers only please, i am not trying to start a pro-life/pro-choice debate. (and note that it is pro-CHOICE, not pro-abortion)

what i mean is that i'm 21. my unmarried best friend just had her 2nd kid and it seems like shes living the life. she's on medicaid, gets food stamps, has no job, pays $30.00 a month in rent in our family housing projects in town, and gets a huge amount of tax refund. meanwhile i'm busting my a** going to school full time, working 32 hrs a week just so i can give all my paycheck to tuition, books, bills and i have to pay 75.00 a month for crappy insurance. sometime it seems easier just to pop out a kid and reap all the benefits. yes, there are those who need help but what about struggling responsible college kids barely making it. just because i was responsible and kept my legs closed i cant get any help from the government. does anyone agree with me? i wish i could make my own financial fund program just for full time students out there.

Ok I am a liberal, I have nothing against a female president, but I do not think Hillary would make a good president and why I will not vote for her.

#1 During her husbands Impeachment trial she showed no emotion, she could have at least threatened bill with divorce.

#2. Her vote to authorize the Iraq war Deeply disturbing.

#3 Her continued support of the Iraq war, only promiting to do a better job than President Bush.

#4 Again a lack of emotion on the topic of 911 victims, her face appears emotionless why she claims to fight for workers who are now dying from the air on 911.

#5 I will not trust a woman who is less emotional than her husband.

#6 She like bush is using her relatives good name for Political gain. The last president who used his close relatives name to get a position in the white house turned out to be a complete f**** up.

ANybody else feel the same way.
