If I get my Section 8 in Tempe Arizona and decide I want to move back to New York,will I have to re apply for section 8 again in n.y.?
Or,will my current section 8 case follow me anywhere I go?

sec. 8 is nation wide, you can take it with you anywhere you move even Puerto Rico, you first must find the name, address and fax number to the Housing Authorities in the state were you will be moving, you than have to give this information and 30 day notice to your current sec. 8 worker, they will transfer all your documents but it takes awhile. especially in New York just keep all your appointments or you can loose it.

Sec 8 is a federal program. U need to apply from Temple AZ. They will delete u forever if u don't follow their guidelines!! U need a friend or fam. to find a rental in NY for u & price range u got in Ariz. Try for 6 mos lease then move again to something u pick-out.(I am a NY landlord)

You will lose your section 8 because it is a state program funded by HUD. Every state manages its own Section 8 program.

Yes you would really have to reapply as each state has different guide lines and income brackets
