We're seeing it more, and more. There is a huge sense of denial with this thinking. He says that regardless of what anybody else thinks they are going ahead with thier plans...

Because the members of BushCo consider themselves to be of a kind of royal bloodline, something that us mere mortals are not capable of understanding, and should not question. It used to be called "The Divine Right of Kings." They state openly they will do what they want, and as Bush said about Congress, "they can try to stop me, but I'm going ahead anyway." In this case, they look upon us as sheep, to be sheared and part of animal husbandry on their estates. That we have a right to express ourselves to them is patently absurd and unthinkable. Their kind has set it up so that we feel we have no power, and they count on that as they go about their business. Should we ever, in our vast numbers, come together and turn on them, they would tremble in their shoes.

The bare knuckles truth is this man is wealthy beyond measure. I believe he is the wealthiest man ever to inhabit the White House (vice president or president). I believe he was the wealthiest man in the room last night - and he thinks he is better than anyone else because he achieved the American dream gone wild! He could buy Wyoming if he wanted to - but is that the true test of a man's character? Denial, crustiness, abrasiveness - he is not liked by anyone and he does not really care. Everything he has told us about Iraq has proved just the opposite, and he once cussed Senator Leahy to his face for questioning Haliburton's doings and influence. (I am neither liberal nor conservative). It is a sad time for this country and the world at large. No civility, appearances last evening notwithstanding.

So why did Wolf Blitzer keep hammering the VP on these negative questions. How come Wolf never asked the VP the following questions:

How many provinces in Iraq are quiet
How many Iraqi troops have been trained os far
How many provinces or regions have been taken over by Iraqi's so far
Have any schools been rebuilt
Have any jobs been created in Iraq
Have any new business in Iraq been started
Are there are women in the Iraqi Congress and government, if so how many. How does that compare with the rest of the countries in the region
How much oil is now being pumped out of Iraq
If the Kurdish areas become independent, how will that impact the PKK and realtions with Turkey? Would Turkey invade?
How many people in Iraq now have steady / reliable electricity?

None of these questions were asked, so no one knows.

Oatie - Kennedy was one of the richest to inhabit the White House
Truman was one of the poorest

I guess no one really wants to know all the facts about what is going on over there.

People assume all republicans live in denial. Remember this is the party of caring and understanding, filled with young culturally diverse men and women who grew up with nothing and worked very hard to achieve everything they have. Who embrace everyone for their right to be who they are, love who they want and worship in any way that person sees fit as long as it is not forced down the throats of the public by having their religious beliefs part of national policy.

All the neocons are in denial. What he does not say is that "their" plans have been in place since before 911.

Why do you say it isn't? Your opinion. He believes in his plan and unlike liberals, doesn't change it at the drop of a hat. In years past, we called that character, even if we disagreed with the person.
