Pick any policitian and look at their finances before and after they are elected. With FEW exceptions they're MUCH better off after election. AND they are relatively untouchable. They have to commit "high crimes" before they're even investigated. And a conviction...

because being a politicians is a 24 hours, seven days a week profession,for examples...they're can't just be republican or democrates on office, they gotta make sure that everything that they do, their charity, their way of life doesn't in anyway shows anyother image, rather than the image that they want...or image that they're being paid for...while the job,only pays for what they do in the office..

Because of the big bucks the special interests pay them under the table.. and the power trip they get from holding office.
