Afghanistan to get OBL SO WHY such a disparity in troop deployments?
Today there are nearly seven times more US military personnel serving in Iraq than in Afghanistan - 140,000 compared with just over 20,000. The United States has spent roughly $400 billion on the Iraq war, and costs are running about $8 billion per month. In the past five years, the US has provided a total of just $12.5 billion in economic and military aid to Afghanistan.

Is there anything that he can do, or are the Democrats so full of hate, that even though they're the party of "Compassion and Understanding", no matter what he does they will berate him?

If he is proven right by his actions, will you Democrats continue to call him names and despise him totally?

Here's why I ask.

We don't know enough about Iran to say for sure whether there's good reason to invade, but it's possible that there is. But after Iraq, how fair a hearing would the American people (or the world) give to any justifications that the present government might use to attack?

I've heard that if the police pull you over and find marijuana they can seize it. Obviously if you have bricks of weed in your car they will seize it, but if its a small amount...like less than an ounce can they still take it?

If he's cynical, he's just hoping the additional troops can hold off the inevitable collapse of Iraq untill 2008, so that Bush's successor, not Bush, is in office when the helicopters start lifting people ff the embassy roof. If Bush is delusional, he simply can't face cutting his losses; like a gambler on a losing st reak. he's hoping one last big bet willsave him from his previous mistakes.

I think there is a reason why the U.S hasn’t done this yet. Most of illegal immigrants work for low wages, pay taxes, and don't collect any type of benefits from the U.S (not like they should).
I think illegal immigrants have and are putting in a lot to the economy of this country, and not like some citizens that are able to work but prefer not to work and don't put anything toward society and live all their life on welfare, food stamps, section 8… you name it.
I am not pro-illegal immigration. I believe there should be some changes to immigration laws and forgive some of the illegal immigrants already here, kick out the one all the ones that have committed any type of crime, no matter how small, block the border and start over as a free-illegal immigrant country.

Anybody agree that the war is lost as far as the US is concerned, and Bush himself only wants a way out of this complete fiasco, and the whole thing is not worth one more American life, and US soldiers have become victims and sitting ducks?

Was creating the Department of Homeland Security neccessary or would it have been wiser to make sure that everyone was doing their jobs as effectively as possible?

I beleive it has been proven that 9/11 occurred because multiple U.S. agencies, departments etc. fumbled the intelligence on the matter.

that Hillary Clinton secretly didn't want John Kerry to win in the last election?

The reason I believe this is because it would be easier for her to win an election without having to battle an incumbent.

Thoughts?
