My friend is working at a restaurant and she was hired as a hostess/waitress/cash register attendant. They kept pooling her tips when she worked as a waitress and not splitting it up fair at all. Now they have her working at hostess for 2.00 an hour which is completely illegal. She gets bossed around and won't say anything.. isnt this illegal and what can she do besides quitting?? She plans on quitting soon but she has been jipped out of so much money... can she report this to anyone or do something about it?? thanks

I was in uk few years a go keeping my tourist visa & working out of the book. so I did try to sort out my visa problem diffrent way. but it didn't work out.so I went back to my home country wich is south asia.I came back again to italy & working as a illegal immigrant beacuse I need to help out my family.I coudn't help staying home with out helping my younger brother & sister.so now I want to be back to uk & work full time & like to study part timecause I can't study full time beacuse of my family.I hope is there any one who can help me or giveing me a advice & show me a path to my destination. it would be realy great.

I worked for 20 hours and did not recieve my paycheck. I work at a small buisness. When I was first hired there were no negotiations made about when or how I would get paid. Later my boss mentiond to fill out a time card and I would get paid every friday. I have forgotten to fill out a time card before--as I get so consumed with work--but the old bookeeper would pay me just the same. I always work the same days. And since there are only two employees, whenever the other one does not work, I HAVE to work those hours.
Well, without my knowledge the boss fired the old bookeeper, and I accidently forgot to fill out my timecard again. My boss did the paychecks on friday, and I did not get my paycheck as per normal when I walked into work on Saturday morning.
I called the other girl who works here to see where my paycheck was, and she said rather rudely, "you did not fill out a time card". Since she was here in the same room when the boss was doing the paychecks, that means that the....

For example, could a single nuclear detonation increase cancer rates on the other side of the globe from where the detonation occurred, or would it take more than one to have a measurable effect in cancer rates? Are there other adverse health effects that are carried long distances by the atmosphere? How many nuclear weapons could go off before we should start to worry? Would now be a good time to figure out how to avoid using them -- ever?

all military websites say non green card holder can not join the military. my brother who is not a green card holder nor a citizen and who speaks Arabic is taking his master's degree in Ohio and a few days ago a reqruiter or whatever called him and he was trying to convince him to join the US army and become an army translator aide "a soldier". He told him that he doesn't have to be a green card holder and that the military will help him become a lawful citizen of the United States when he join. anyone can help me understand what is going on? is he lying to him?.
