Why did the grand jury side with her on the slap ordeal:

The grand jury had been considering the case since shortly after the March 29 incident, which has led to much discussion on Capitol Hill about race and the conduct of lawmakers and the officers who protect them.
"We respect the decision of the grand jury in this difficult matter," said U.S. Attorney Kenneth Wainstein.

maybe she should talk to that widowed fiance in NY

You thinks she's tough because she's introduced a bill of impeachment that obviously isn't going to be passed?

The thing I remember most vividly about her is not the slapping incident. I remember that when the U.S. Supreme Court declared that the George District map adopted in 1992 was an unconstitutional racial gerrymander and it had to be re-drawn -- it was re-drawn in such a way that her district would no longer be majority-black -- she took to the floor of the House and screamed "We will not go back to the days of slavery!!"

All I could think was, "What a moron!!"

Tough and ignorant or two different things. I do not believe in blaming anyone else for my short comings....Anyone who strikes a police officer who is paid to protect and serve the public, is a waste of space. The fact that she lost her congressional seat speaks volumes of people who were fed up with her and her drama. This is her attempt to go out on a note that differs from her assault issue.

She could assault White House Security Guards and carry a handgun into cabinet meetings. She's tough allright. She's a real tough act to follow. Who the heck would vote for that idiot.

There's a difference in being "tough" and downright stupid! She's such an idiot that she wouldn't even be endorsed by Howard Dean, let alone the DNC.

P.S. She also isn't a "lady".

She'd lose. That retarded idiot already lost her congress seat and assaulted a cop. No one respects her but idiots. Seems like you do though
