Please help me identify a LOGICAL DISCONNECT in the behavior of politics. The Bush Administration for example, contradicts its beliefs in doing things like providing weapons to Israel for their war against Lebanon. Is there a logical disconnect there? Why do we, not just politions, sometimes have contradicting views? An example of a logical disconnect would be if you oppose higher tuition and the ban of welfare, while still opposing higher taxes. My goal here is to ask a critical thinking question. Is there a logical disconnection in the mindstate of our governement? Any other governments?

with partisan support, set aside, do you think the November 7 elections will be possitive, and free form glitches or even, a possible electronic voting hijack? The Republicans promise they'll prevail, which scares me. either enthusastic remarks, or a deep undergroudn plot (review 2000 election) Democrats also have the confidence to prevail. one wont. Exit polls and forcasts were wrong in 2004, so we have no relevance to the election 2006 except what the voting computer says. do you trust a computer to give us legit election results?

What big sacrifices are they making towards giving back to where you came from after all many have the nice house, the nice job, the nice car. What are you actually doing to better where you come from? What programs have you helped start to better the life you left? How about womens rights how many of you living here are doing something about the conditions to which these women are subject to live under, it is your country after all. How many food banks have you started up in your country? Once a year is no sacrifice. How many of you who complain about all of your countries, while living well here, how many building projects are you involved with ? Just what is it you all are actually doing to better where you came from, to those still living there what are you giving back to where you came from?

She relapsed while dating this guy from recovery who relapsed first. They broke up and he has been harrassing her for the last 10 months. She took the proper steps through the courts about this and he has been arrested. She went to his commital hearing and the judge decided to send the case to a jury trial. My friend is worried that this guys lawyer will bring up the fact that she drank a year ago while on probation. My question is, can she get in trouble now for admitting to taking a drink a year ago, even though she's been sober ever since then? She's really worried that if the lawyer asks if she was drinking while they dated, and she tells the truth it will get her in more trouble? Does anyone know the answer to this??!!

Does it take too much energy to realize that WE control the govt?

Say, your the Boss of a company: If you sit on your butt at work and allow your employees to make ALL the decisions, then call your friend on the phone and complain about the way the place is being run, does that make you any less responsible when the outcome turns bad?

Democracy takes ALOT of work from the public. Lets start doing our part. Crying will NOT get the job done. As long as you sit in here or on a barstool and cry, your govt will continue to do whatever it wants, because it knows you are ineffective! They didnt let you down, you let yourself down. TAKE CHARGE!!

Have a loud voice when it comes to protect and defend the fact that they are Illagely here.
Why not use that same loud voice in Mexico and tell your Government , the changes you people want , to make life better for Mexicans .

i am fuming! why the hell do immigrrants get benefits! I have just read in the people that romanians can come to this country and receive 15k worth of benefits in working tax credits and for children not even in this country... I am not rasist I just care about the welfare of this country. We only seem to help immigrants, people who cant be bothered to help themselves, and those who are single parents those who have a family have f all ! its not right all this politically correct bull s#it is driving me mad why cant we just express our feelings and have some passion about a country that used to be great. why will this probably be deleted because britains have no freedom of speech anymore! and how come so many feel the same yet we are powerless to do anything?
