Why is it that politicians only start to bother about our environment when we start to lose 'Trillions' of pounds.

I agree.

They keep going on about people being "displaced" by floods, coastline erosion etc but they don't give a flying toss for those "displaced" because they lost their job and can't pay their mortgage!!!

Hypocrites. Its the government and big business that causes all the pollution anyway and then they try to offload the blame onto Fred Bloggs in the street by going on about how "WE" need to do something about pollution and telling him to get the bus to work instead of driving.

Lets see John "Fat ****" Prescott using a stinking bus rather than his two jags. I don't think so.

In the UK our government is saying they are going to place a stealth tax on cars, buses, aircraft, bin emptying to fight global warming. Is it only me that can't see how £multi billions will combat it ??
I think it's just a scam to cream more off the tax payer regardless of whether they can afford it or not.
