What big sacrifices are they making towards giving back to where you came from after all many have the nice house,the nice job, the nice car. What are you actually doing to better where you come from? What programs have you helped start to better the life you left? How about womens rights how many of you living here are doing something about the conditions to which these women are subject to live under, it is your country after all. How many food banks have you started up in your country? Once a year is no sacrifice. How many of you who complain about all of your countries, while living well here, how many building projects are you involved with ? Just what is it you all are actually doing to better where you came from, to those still living there what are you giving back to where you came from?

Am a dedicated member of Phi Theta Kappa, which does several charitable works, like can good drives for the food bank. Used books for National Literacy, and hiway cleanup. That is on top of working fulltime and going to school full time.

do you know how idiotic and ignorant you just sounded , you are making generalizations out of thin air ,
first how about we start with your first sentence ;
good life , yes , is this what you call a good life when they are first , working below minumuim wage sums , they have to start thier lives in this country knowing almost no one and trying to find a place to sleep , they don't generally know the language and people like the minute men try to find them becuase they have nothing better to do ,
second , nice job , spending dozens and dozens of hours picking grapes in a vineyard isn't exactly a fought for job and isn't glamoruos in anyway ,
third , the government is corrupt , don't expect that if they could start programs they wouldn't
oh and they're trying to survive enough to pay for living here , taxes ( oh , and yes they do pay taxes , people say you need to have a social security number , which is true but you can get a special social security number just for taxes ) , and to send money to those they left behind ,
fourth , that part about women is a stereotype , women have rights in mexico , oh and women come here also and even in this country it can be seen that there is sexism , and fifth they don't only send money once a year , some of those people send all they can afford to , if not even more , stop trying to differeniate them from what they are , they're humans whether you like to remember this in your stereotypical and seemingly rascist fantasies , oh and finally not all hispanics are illegal , get that right first , this was thier country first ,

what big sacrifices are YOU making towards giving back to where you came from, after all many americans have the nice house, the nice job, the nice car. what are YOU actually doing to better where you came from i.e. your neighborhood/your city? what programs have YOU helped to start to better the life of so many improvrished AMERICAN children who suffer everyday? how about womens rights? what are you doing about the conditions to which many AMERICAN women suffer with regards to getting considerable lower wages for the same job their male counterparts do? what programs have YOU started to combat that, how many lectures have you spoken at fighting against child abuse? how many food banks have YOU started up in your country the good ol' U.S. of A? how many building projects are you involved with? Once a year is no sacrifice. Donating a few tax deductible items once a year is nothing. what have you done to start curbing the skyrocketing cost of healthcare for our seniors? and lastly, just what is it you are actually doing to better poor neighborhoods and inner city crime, teen pregnancy, aids reasearch, domestic violence?

well the same could be said for americans here.Its funny how many celebrities go out an adopt children from other countries and helpt build school and orphanages there while there are a lot of children waiting for adoption here and people living in poverty.but I digress personally for my family I know that my parents both do send money to mexico to support their elderly parents and to help rebuild their town church.And as for me I send part of my earnings from my job (after I take out the expenses for school,books and other stuff) to help pay the highschool and part of the college education of two of my cousins who want to become an attorney and teacher.and btw what are YOU doing to better the lives of your fellow american people?

I'm not illegal, I'm not an alien, I am however Hispanic. I'm straight out of Prospect Heights, Brooklyn NY. I live a comfy life because I work hard for it.

What makes you think that you have any more right to be here than a legal immigrant?

Why are you comparing the illegals with Hispanics. Do you think that there is a different, that there are illegals Hispanics and legal Hispanics, legal Irish and illegal Irish, Legal Russians and illegal Russians, do you get what I'm trying to tell you. Please don't put us in the same cart, we don't deserved it. Just because I'm a Hispanic that doesn't mean that I came from another country, this is my country and I don't know no other country outside of the United States of America. Like me there are millions and millions, do you understand.Thank You.

I've never heard of them doing that. From my own personal experience it seems they'd rather send lavish gifts of clothes, appliances, and money to their families (especially their mothers) than to help their communities. They have no concept of handouts to anyone else until they come here and start to receive them. Another thing I'd like to add is this: Those who marry citizens (especially whites) treat their families back home better than the ones they have here. I know this from my own experiences and have seen it happen to my friends and family. We and our children have had to go without so much so that they can impress their mamas.

Here is the problem with this question. First why does any random Hispanic family have to give ANYTHING back......thats ridiculous.
Being Hispanic does not make these people "responsible" to a country or countries that are largely made up of Hispanic people. Your question is pathetic in its reference.
Next..........why don't we give amnesty and SEE what they can do to help their country THEN.......hmmmm......think your jumping the gun with this question right NOW.
