Or rather, wasn't the use of A-bombs better than what would have happened had they not been dropped? Japan was at the time a country every bit as evil as nazi Germany, and they weren't going to surrender without a full scale invasion which would have killed millions. And even the bombs themselves didn't do nearly as much damage as the firebombing of Tokyo and the use of conventional bombs during the prior weeks. So in fact, the A-bombs ended up preventing years of more war and death. People who point to America's use of them during WWII as an indictment ignore this.

I was able to have my loan re-instated, but when I went to pick up my car, I had to pay, for a new battery, & to fix the linkage, that was broken during repossesion. I was then told, there was extensive damage to the transmission. There were extensive items that were missing from the property that had been in the vehicle. I have the receipt, from the previous battery, that had just been installed 2 months prior, plus all the receipts that I had to pay, just to get the vehicle in driving condition. The transmission has not been fixed & the finance company, who employed the reposession company, has washed their hands of it. The repossesion company, won't even talk to me. What can I do?

I think my neighbor's is, and he might be too. The reason: he actually believes in Al Gore as a responsible environmentalist. You have to be from another planet to believe that.

I know I may be old school for prefering the German MG-42 than any other MG. But I have been looking at other MG's and what of these MG's are better. The German MG-42, the German MG-3, the FN M240, or HK 21. I want to know how much do they cost, which is more accurte. Please and thank you.

I just read in a question regarding Korea's nuclear testing "as a non US person I feel more concerned about threat of US to world peace." Do you agree or disagree... and if so, why do you feel the US is a threat to world peace, specifically YOUR country?

Please include what country you live in and if you use facts or stats, please remember to provide your sources/references. eg. don't use sweeping generalizations like "America's been at war most of the time of it's existense" without listing the dates and names of those wars and why you think the US was unjustified to be in that war. thanks.

Most state's annulment laws consider a valid justification "fraud involving the essentials of the marriage." Can anyone tell me what this means exactly? I thought it might be related to impotence, but serveral states (e.g., IL, WI, and VA) also have a seperate item for that.

On Friday, the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) issued its bleakest assessment. Conflict has displaced 1.5 million people inside Iraq; a tide of refugees swells the 1.6 million living outside the country. The Lancet's estimate of 655,000 deaths since the conflict began is not only in a different stratosphere from Bush's ballpark figure of 30,000 'more or less'. It is also evidence of the asymmetry in the death roll of the war on terror.
