Okay - here is the story.... My friend joined a gym 2 weeks ago. She was never instructed on how to use the machines. On her second day working out, she was on the Treadmill and couldn't get it to start. She kept hitting the speed button in an attempt to get the belt moving. (She isn't very smart about these things.) When the belt finally began to move - it was registered at 8.6 MPH and it threw her off the machine. She received bruises on her back and a severe burn on her arm. (From the moving belt.) Her worst injury was a gash on her leg, just below the knee. That has now become infected. They gave her an ice pack and told her to go home. She wasn't offered any other medical treatment. She is being told that she will require some minor surgery to drain the wound and will probably miss about 2 weeks of work. She has been in severe pain for about a week. Should she sue and what for? (What grounds and for how much?) She doesn't think she would have a case.... Any advice?

Many sources state that the US government knew about the 9/11 before it happened. What do you think? And do you know any specific examples of this?

So, the UN has stomped its feet, and told North Korea not to be a bad kid anymore: much sound and fury, signifying....not a heck of a lot.

And just how "punishing" are those "punishing sanctions" expected to be??

Bush and thugs have failed America and the world yet again!!!

Axis of evil comment has just gone up in puff of smoke.

A Florida woman who lost her husband in Iraq may now be deported back to her country of Venezuela. Dahianna’s husband worked in Iraq, providing communications equipment to our military and was killed in March.

Immigration said, she and their 1-year-old son, must return to her home country, even though her son was born here in the United States. She doesn't want to go back because all the family she has is here.

She said she wants to stay in the country her husband helped defend.

From what I read, she has to be married for 2 full years, and she was 3 months short when he was killed. She lost her husband, why do they have to take everything else away? What do you think about it?

They aren't taking "your" jobs. They are taking the jobs that no white person would want to take, because most white people just like to sit in offices with air conditioning getting paid 20 dollars an hour, and then saying that illegal Mexicans are here taking American's jobs. RIGHT!! Let me make this clear not all Hispanics are Mexican, and they are here doing jobs for minimum wage or less which in return helps the U.S. economy. Do you think fruit and vegetables would be so cheap if we had white people in the fields wanting to get paid 20 dollars an hour for picking up fruits and vegatables? I dont think so.

It doesn't make much sense to me. I don't know what era you are referring too, if it is during the 1700's then we didn't even have laws yet. If its during the 1800's and 1900's then most went through Ellis Island and other places. Besides, this country was also founded on the backs of slaves as well as many other less than reputable things, does that mean slavery was ok also? Pretty weak argument for you guys.
