farmers and construction workers are more important than doctors, lawyers, and other jobs that require education? The US only wants to give citisenship to educated & skilled people which I say is no fair. Share you're thoughts? Gracias.

This study contradicts a more limited one recently that did not find significant job loss from illegal immigration, although it did not look at reduced wages. The earlier study also did not look at impacts on young workers:

A new study authored by economists at Northeastern University and published by the Center for Immigration Studies finds that the arrival of new immigrants (legal and illegal) in a state is accompanied by a decline in employment among young native-born workers in that state. This indicates that immigration is displacing young native-born workers in the labor market. Although one recent report by another Washington think tank found no relationship between immigration and the troubling recent decline in the employment of the native-born, that study did not focus on young workers, who are often in direct competition with immigrants and are the ones most adversely affected.

You ask why? No I wasn't busted. Infact I graduated at the top of my class from LIU in NYC. I also received my masters in accounting at UNCC. I want to sue because anyone here can go to the magistrate and file a warrant against you. I had a nutty ex boyfriend that repeatedly wen to the magistrates and filed warrants against me for communicating threats. Ofg the course the cases were dismissed and eventually he was thrown in jail. However my mug shot still remains on the NC website for all to seer. It is totally embarassing considering that I am a professional. Yes you can have one of the charges expunged for a ridiculous fee between $750 and $1,000. I have been turned down for a luxury appartment and for a very prestigious posiyion with a top firm here in NC. Of course they wouldnt give it to me in writing but a little birgy told me that even thpough you were just arrested and not convicted they question your character for being arrested for communicating threats with a gun.

I know it is possible for people with an Irish grandparent to become dual American-Irish citizens. I know both checkoslovakia and Ireland are EU nations. I also wonder if America would have restrictions on which countries it would allow dual citizenship for. That's some background. Does anyone out there know for sure?

"My country desires peace," Bush told world leaders in the cavernous main hall at the U.N. "Extremists in your midst spread propaganda claiming that the West is engaged in a war against Islam. This propaganda is false and its purpose is to confuse you and justify acts of terror. We respect Islam."

Why are new rules needed now, if US doesn't "torture"? Or if you believe the US is torturing prisoners, why is it moral and right to change the law to allow this?

So if electoral votes are the ones that count
and popular votes dont! (thats normal people like you and me votes)
Why do they still say we should vote?
In 2000, George W. Bush won 271 electoral votes to Al Gore's 266, with 50,456,062 popular votes for Bush and 50,996,582 votes for Gore.
Not that I'm a big Gore fan but we normal people didnt elect Bush!
isnt it time to tell the truth here and just be honest and say we dont care what the people want. we stick to our good old boys club?

Years ago I was starting a small business. My friend had done really well in a business and offered some money to me as a gift to get started in my business. Now, after 3 years she is harassing me, daily by email to pay her back. I started sending her some money each month to make her happy, but she continues and now is threatening me with legal stuff. She also said she was going to send an email out to all my friends and family to let them know what kind of person I am.....I am confused. Is there anything legal about what she is attempting to do. I am sending her $500 per month and she is cashing the check. There is NO contract of any kind. It was simply a "gift" from a "friend"!!!
Help! Please!
