"My country desires peace," Bush told world leaders in the cavernous main hall at the U.N. "Extremists in your midst spread propaganda claiming that the West is engaged in a war against Islam. This propaganda is false and its purpose is to confuse you and justify acts of terror. We respect Islam."

Hmmm...wasn't he just saying the other day that we were in a life and death struggle against an Islamic monolith bent on world domination or words to that effect -- ah never mind.........

To a certain degree, he is being truthful.
Peace, to the warmongers (Zionists, who run the U.S.), is sometimes only achieved by killing a certain number of people, in the place where you wish to dominate. ("We'll have peace, if we have to kill every one of them.")
The U.S. goal in Iraq is to gain control over the oil and establish a strategic military and political spot, in the Middle East. It just happens that the land is populated mostly by Muslims. So, of course, the Muslims feel that the war is directed solely at Islam.

Speaking of propaganda, Americans get plenty of that directed at them...
"My country desires peace," Bush told world leaders...Yes, peace. All the natives have to do is submit to U.S. rule, and there will be peace. It's as easy as that. But of course, that's not what happened. They didn't welcome the illegal invasion with open arms. The videos or photos of people welcoming U.S. soldiers was a good example of propaganda. A few people may have greeted them in a friendly manner, but maybe they did that, just to keep from being hit with a hot bullet.
The whole conflict (and that in Afghanistan) is clouded with loads of s***--I mean, propaganda, from the very start.

Friend George is a good neighbor! But like any neighbor, when provoked he will call on "John Law" to restore peace. If the 'problem' doesn't get resolved then the citizenry have a town meeting to discuss options about curtailing any further breach of the peace. That Is what has been done on the terrorist problem! Neighbor George is still working on the problem with the community (UN)! The terrorist element like Criminals are "hit and run/ hide" operators! They are not Warriors or even soldiers! just Bullies!

What Bush is saying is that he does not want a war against a religion. However, he wants a war against those who are terrorists, and unfortunately, those Islamic terrorists are ruining it for the good followers of Islam. Listen, there are good Christians and bad Christians; good Jews and bad Jews, etc. I don't think all Muslim's should be condemned, but there are plenty of them to deal with.

I don't respect idiots, and they don't respect us and I will never bow down to Islams radical religious people, I belong to a religion that thinks that if people don't believe as us they will go to hell well you and I know this is ridiculous. The same with the Islamic people. He should have never said that our country respects Islam. They are devils.

Bush has lost all creditbility and along with that he lost America's good name and creditbility within the international community. In all likelyhood, he may be tellign the truth but actions speak louder then words. He hasn't done anything to *show* he respects Islam. I mean every turn he accuses islamic nations of aiding terrorists.

1. Bush constantly accuses Iran of aiding terrorists, and accuess them of building nukes (without proof)
2. Accused Syrai of feuling the Israel/Lebanon conflict when Bush himself sat back did nothing (while at the same time arming Israel with weapons)
3. Critized Syria after they thwarted a terrorist attack on a US Embassy last week
4. And many many more...

The way you measure that is by his record of his past machine gun lies and his attacking a sovereign nation over nothing but oil!

I would not believe one damn word he says! It was only 2 days ago that he got caught in his latest lie and 3 days before that he admitted that we had secret torture camps run by the CIA!

Just how did we get 2,920 military killed in action?

Maybe he doesn't want a war with Islam! He just wants them to sit there while we steal all their resources! Ah, they are the ones to blame! What great logic!

No he is not telling the truth. He wants to say what the pope said but he is NOT untouchable. He is afraid he will not make it to the next day if he came out and said what he REALLY feels.

just like when he was talking to Tony Blair when he thought the mics were off... Yeah.. we heard how he felt then didnt we?

He does not even respect himself.

if you don't believe him that's not my problem

it seems to me that the catalyst for most of the violence
is islamic terrorist groups

so you tell me

what does it matter if he's telling the truth................
it doesn't

the only thing that matters is the thing you failed to mention

Islamic Terrorists are killing innocents

so who you gonna fight ? catholics in Belfast Ireland?

protestants in Dublin Ireland ?

no your gonna fight Islamic militants where ever they exist

why don't you asked that Nun who was shot four times in the back in Somalia

asked her about it ask her how she liked to work in a poor country like Somalia helping people

No he doesn't respect Islam. The only thing he respects is oil and money. He don't give a damn about the people in Iraq. If there wasn't oil there the U.S. troupes wouldn't be there either.
