Is it better to ask questions or answer them ?

In life, I think it is better to ask questions.
On Yahoo I think it is better to answer.

It depends on why you are asking or asnwering the questions. The whole aim of this is to help each other. If you do not ask about things you do not know you will remain ignorant. If you do not answer a question from some one who needs help when you know the answer you are depriving the person who asked vital information. You will not be perfoming your social responisbilities of sharing knowledge with others. If you just want points for the sake of points you can do what ever you want but it will be very unfair to the yahoo answers community.

Yahoo answers wasn't basically started about getting or losing points. It was simply meant to share what you know with others, and get a knowledge of what you seek. I don't care if I lose 5 points for clearing my misconceptions about something. It doesn't hurt to choose a best answer and encourage those who give their precious time to read, look up stuff online for others and answer their questions. We should have the spirit to help others, no matter how or where. Peace out, yo!

If you like helping people, answer.
If you just want points, answer lots.
If youwantto learn, have a look at others questions.

if you dont know something then ask, but when youre low on pts then answer or else you either cant ask or you have to create a new account.
