There is no universal or right version of marriage. There is differences within societies,religions and areas ie North America. What one group understands as marriage may well be a anathema to others particularly if they are narrow minded and xenophobic. You maybe able to speak to that point better then most.

Excuse me? I understand marriage. My husband and I are about to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. I have kept our marriage vows to the letter, and love him and respect him with all my heart.
