Presumably what you mean by "nothing" are the infamous weapons of mass destruction whose alleged existence was an integral part of our rational for going in.....

Well, let's see. They DID find mass graves to the tune of about 400,000; they did find a people persecuted and oppressed who were actually thankful to finally be free from the terror of Saddam's reign; they found palace toilets made out of gold while many people went hungry; they finally found a dethroned ruler hiding in a hole like the little cockroach he was...he taught his sons to be evil like he was, and their untimely deaths were the direct result of what daddy had taught them; they found a group of military men so brainwashed or terrorized that they would compromise their families, their people, their country, everything, to serve this killer that the now deposed judge of Saddam's trial deemed to be "no dictator".

Well, I'd certainly like to know what constitutes a dictator if that does not. And as for all the mass graves, the people tortured, mutilated, and haunted by Saddam's bevy of terrorists, that would indicate to me that Saddam himself IS that weapon of mass destruction that the liberals feel has been so elusive.

And don't put too much credibility in what the media tells you: Frequently the "citizens" who are killed in war are actually the terrorists themselves. The media would have you believe the United States is the oppressor here, but the US has been a much-needed force of police effort over there. And contrary to what many liberals would have you think, Saddam did support those who attacked our country on 9/11.

So, if the war is some sort of "trap", well, it's a darn good one. Because I DO believe we belong over there, and I DO believe history will prove out what we in the short term have hastily ruled out: Don't forget Saddam had a tremendous amount of warning....there was even a clock ticking down on the television up until the hour and minute that we dropped the first bomb in our "shock and awe" attack. He had alot of allies and alot of time to hide the very things we were going in to find....don't rule everything out until another five or ten years have gone by.

Just remember the shock of that attack wasn't the where or the when...but that the US would take any military action at all. After Clinton's reign of "duck and schmuck", where we were repeatedly attacked by terrorists and nothing was done, the only thing shock and awe about the war in Iraq is that a US President would actually do anything to battle injustice at all.

But then, we can overlook Clinton. He had his mind (and other things) too preoccupied in other pursuits.

Good luck in your pursuit of the truth....don't look to the press or a liberal partisan party to get it.

Yes I think it was justified and so did the congress who voted for it. Most of them had been receiving evidence for the last 13 years as to the dangers of Saddam and they were sure not shy to scream it to the rooftops for all the photo ops it provided them. . John Kerry knew more about Iraq than President Bush did, as did the rest of the gang on capital hill. For them to come back and yell foul is the biggest example of hypocrisy I have ever seen in my entire life.

No, I don't think the war was justified, notwithstanding the beast Saddam. But I don't think it was a trap either. It was an ill thought out attempt to secure oil for the USA.

YES. I wish we had just left things alone and let Saddam torture and kill each and every one of his people. They serve no useful purpose anyway except as experimental animals. Then when he got done we would have only had to go over there and take their oil without any war or hassles.
