If there was a huge consensus in Iraq to keep the American troops in there, and they were helping the Iraqi's, would you think it acceptable to keep the troops in there?

I was just reading about the current elections in Sweden and that again reminded me of what I've been thinking of so often. Why is it so usual that political elections divide a country exactly into two? Why is such ratio such as 48:49 so common? I know there are places where democrasy works differently or due to corruption, there are rates with 90:10. But seriously, why is it fifty-fifty rather than, say, 20:75? Thanks in advance!

I have noticed many questions lately about Muslims being a threat to the safety of United States. Do you hate all Muslims for a radical few? Wouldn't that be like kicking all Christians out of the country because of the radical right-wings that blow up abortion clinics and kill doctors and nurses, or disbanding the Catholic religion for the safety of children because of few incidences of child molestation?
