Actually the last time I looked at the deed the USA did in fact own the world. The USA is still making payments so technically I suppose you could say they are only "buying" the world. In the terms accepted for everyday use in the real esate game "own" is correct. No different than me saying I "own" my home while in fact I am making payments on it for the next 30 years. The plan at present is for the USA to have the note paid off by the year 2019. Plans are already underway for a big celebration that year. It will kick of with a burning of the loan papers at the Capital followed by a week long "We Own The World" Festival nationwide. I'm surprised you haven't read about it.

We in the US are in the process of selling the country to the rest of the world at an alarmingly accelerating rate as we speak. This has nothing to do with any wrongdoing on other countries' part but alot to do with :
1)unrealistic monetary policy by the Federal Reserve Bank for the last 25 years,
2)the impending 54 trillion dollar social security/medicare/medicaid liability which there is currently no provision to pay for
3)the colossal & unprecedented trade imbalance with China & other countries in the developing world
4)the decline of the dollar's value as compared to other world currencies
5)the disappearence of jobs with american corporations outsourced to developing countries
6)the historic private debt load of the american people whose national savings rate is a negative number.
To answer your question, it will be very shortly.
***When the Japanese or the Chinese stop buying our debt in the form of T-bills (which they are already getting tired of & are holding a combined total of ~ $ 2 billion)
***When the rest of the world loses confidence in the falling dollar for trading petroleum & switches to the Euro, a stronger currency.
Keep watching.
Any day now.
And it's not going to be very pretty.

I wouldn't even want the world. There are a lot of problems in the world that I wish the USA would get out of.

We never said that we did? So what data do you base your uninformed question on? Why is it when other countries are in trouble, they go to the USA for help and keep on going for help. Why don't they pay the USA 's money back instead of asking for more.

We never said we did. If the world doesn't want anything from us, then quite knocking on our doors and begging for help. How 'bout that. We could use all the billions that we give in foreign right here at home. We could bring all of our soldiers home, protect our borders, and then just sit back and watch CNN and you all kill each other off.

This will only happen AFTER the world gets tired of our BS and turns on us and invades us and sets up a provisional government to "protect their interests on this continent" and to provide a a world-friendly ruler to keep the weak, stupid, agressive, delusional, imperialistic Amerikns subdued.
Only then might your question resolve.
