No, not Sweden. You're thinking of Switzerland. Big difference. BIG! Sweden is just a shade away from communism, which is why their standard of living is going down the toilet.
Switzerland, however is doing quite well for itself.

It is not true. It's also not true of Switzerland (there it is only adults who are members of the armed forces, and not all of them)

That's a rumor... sounds like some rightwing rhetoric in order to make you believe in gun ownership because Sweden and Switzerland both have very successful social and economic structures.
