1.) when u sign up u dont live on base u have to go to lackland AFB in san antonio tx they may have a openin for u to go right to boot camp or u may have to wait my husband didnt leave until 6 months after he signed up after your boot camp u either stay at lackland or go to a differant base depends on wat ur job is.... my husbands a cop so he stayed at lackland this is when u will be goin your tech school how long this is depends on wat job u choose the longest tech school is 13 1/2 weeks for cops there are also alot shorter ones like 5 1/2 weeks during your tech school u will find out where u will be stationed after this is where u will be livin on or off base it depends on avaliblity of housin

2.) You and your husband would get sent over together and would not be spilt up unless you chose a mission with army or marines

3.) My friends are married and they went to bootcamp together but it was easier for them cuz the went into the same job so they went to tech school together as well so you can tell ur recrutier that u would like to go to bootcamp together but if u had a kid u would have to go seperatly unless u had someone to watch the kid until u both were done right after bootcamp and tech school u go to ur first base and thats when u will be able to get housin

4.)they can not send you and your husband overseas if u have a kid only one of u will go at a time they would have u in different AEF buckets if u have a kid otherwise u could ask to be in the same one

5.)No way possible will u 2 be sent over together

6.)it doesnt depend on rank who goes over more it really depends on job i kno that my husband being a cop goes over every 6 months but our friend only would go every 1 to 2 years like i said it all depends on ur AEF bucket which is basically a list of people who rotate in and out of war so if there are a lot of buckets u could only go every 1 to 2 years if there are a small # u will be goin alot more

1 - It depends upon the base you are assigned at and how many people are currently living on base. I would not count on base housing if I were you.

2 - Yes this is a very real possibility

3 - No, see answer #1

4 - YES!! I have friends who this has happened to. The military will send you where they need you regardless of your home situation. When you have a child and you both of you are in (or you are a single parent) you need to fill out childcare provision forms that state who your backup providers are. If you fail to fill out these forms and have backup providers you can be discharged. You need to be prepared to leave that child for possibly as long as two years.

5 - YES!! See answer #4 it does not matter if you are an officer or NCO.

6 - No - who ever is needed is sent to war. While rank does have it's privilege it does not get you out of going to war.

Do not go into the service (any branch of it) believing that your best interests will be the first priority.
It is called the "service" because your duty will be to serve your country first, your self (and your family) second.
That is a harsh reality that many people do not understand.

YES!! As soon as you sign up for the US Air Force you will be assigned a unit and it may be the entire 4 years that you are committed to the military. 2. It would be possible that you could be seperated if sent to a war area.
3.YES!!! 4. YES!! the US Air Force Has programs in cases like that. 6. Not necessarily. It's usually done as a unit where everyone goes at the same time. Hope this helps!!!

1. as soon as you enter Basic Military Training, youre at Lackland AFB and from then on you will be stationed at a base anywhere in the world. if you are married, you may opt to get a house off base, but it would be wiser/cheaper to live on base. otherwise youll live in a dormitory.
2. well, if youre an officer already, you should know all these answers. and if your planning on being an officer, plan on years of being in the service. and to answer your question, yes. just because youre married doesnt mean they wont send you to war.
3. yes. after necessary paperwork is completed.
4. it is possible, but unlikely with a child. its likely that one would stay behind.
5. youve asked this question already. yes.
6. there are more enlisted members than there are officers, so yes.

1. When you sign up you have to go to boot camp for 9 weeks. After that you need to be sent to further taining called (AIT) advanced individual training. that is what it is called in the army don't know about air force.

2. It depends on his job and your job. And yes it is possible.

3. Not right away, need to go through the training.

4. There are rules about that, I'am pretty sure that wouldn't happen
5. yes if was called up.
6. there are more enlisted than officers so yes.

I'm not sure if you and your husband had a child if they would let you both in--at the same time that is.
You have to wait until one of you is stationed somewhere, before you go to live in base housing. There are billets on base at Lackland you could stay at a cheap rate until he gets done with basic training.
Your best bet would be to speak to a recruiter. It depends on what jobs you had in the Air Force, that would dictate whether you went to "war" or not.
Good luck.

The funniest part is that such and illiterate as you thinks they could get in the Air Force and be an officer yet. You have to have a college education to be an officer and it looks like you are just working on 4th grade.

i think the army is for those who have and never had nothing to loose (think about it who the hell wanna join in ? nobody knows when the next war will start and maybe the person who joned there uncounsciosless will end up with a bullet in its head trying to serve its country but after that nobody will remember his name.... pure suicide not to mention the poor training) and if ur a girl and u wanna have a husband in the airforce its like wanting to marry a suicide bomber ....

what if what? if i put what if in front of those questions, they dont really make scence. how about, before you go to the airforce, take an English class.
