I am a conservative and not a domestic violator but let me take a stab at this question. I don't know if most domestic violators are conservatives or that most conservatives are domestic violators but that could be true because of the "old time" values conservatives tend to have and hold on to. Values like women staying home to be house mothers, staying out out of the work place, the husband is the master of the house, etc. It could be that they are upset at the more and more women in jobs and women taking charge of the house and decisions that anger could rise up and cause them to be abusive.

Because there is a strong correlation between conservative political views and authoritarian personalities. And another strong correlation between authoritarian personalities and abusive ones.

Because Republicans are always right, they are better than anyone and they have to prove it by beating up weaker ones. That includes their outlook on the nation too.

I call BS. My LIBERAL ex-boyfriend was quite violent. My moderate husband has a temper, but has never hit me.
