because we were introduced by the man. you know, the priests, pastors and old white guys that i've always been suspicious of anyway.

he should come back and reintroduce himself. he's more pleasant than his emissaries anyway...

Simple one doesn't require the other.

And yes, Jesus wasn't embracing the established values of the time, therefore by dictionary definitions of liberal and conservative, he would be a liberal.

Do you understand that that has no bearing on today? I suppose you don't. After all a lower percentage of conservatives are educated, therefore there is a lower chance of you understanding.

Actually many of the liberals I know are Christians.

But frankly I don't think anyone can pretend to know what Jesus would think about most modern political controversies (though I do find it curious that most Republicans support capital punishment.)

Obviously a bible thumper question. A more appropriate question would be; How can you say you are a christian when almost everything you do as a conservative goes against his teachings? I sentence you to read the Sermon on the Mount 25 times.

Good Point!!!!!!
Yahoo is full of Liberals bashing and hating Christians.
Liberals ridicule Christians. One of the reasons they give for hating Bush is because he is a Christian.
Now, they want Jesus to be a liberal.
I really enjoy liberals. They are so much fun!

We DO believe in Jesus Christ and his teachings. THAT'S why we're liberals! We care about EVERYONE, not just ourselves and our own self-interests.

Conservatives base their pseudo-morality on JUDAIC Old Testament, IGNORE the words of Jesus Christ, and imagine their biggotry is conveniently sanctioned by God. The Old Testament, being JEWISH, wasn't even in the original Bible. You NEVER hear a neo-con quote JESUS.

I don't know.

Why the hell would jesus be a liberal anyway? That makes no sense. EDIT: Ok, I could see it making *some* sense, but certainly not more then 25% of his beliefs.

PS - Freetinka, you are a f-cking idiot.... what more can I say. This question can't even remotely be connected to race in any way imaginable.

They need to quote Jesus once in a while to try to show they are connected to or at least understand conservative america. Meanwhile, they try to legalize gay marriage and keep abortion clinics churnin and murderin.

Many conservatives conduct themselves in a manner contrary to Jesus's teachings. Such as the way they trash talk Bill Clinton and the Democrats for instance........
