In a civil suit, a defendant failed to answer timely to the complaint in the 20 days period. he did not request for an extention of time or responding to the notice of default. After filing the motions, the court clerk still did not enter a default against that defendant, anyone knows why or what to do?r

........................... Hunt.............................
We're gonna hunt you down
like a mad dog hound
and make you pay for the lives you stole
We're all through talking and messing around
and now it's time to rock and roll
You've been acting mighty rash
and talking that trash
but let me give you some advice
You can crawl back in your hole
like a dirty little mole
but now it's time to pay the price

What more can you ask of President Bush than there have been no terrorist attacks on American soil? This is a success, can you admit it? It has not gone perfect, but once again, there have been no attacks on American soil in 5 years. Can any liberals or anti-Bush people actually give the man some credit?

are treated. Honor killings occur for a variety of offenses, including allegations of premarital or extramarital sex, refusing an arranged marriage, attempting to obtain a divorce, or simply talking with a man. If a woman brings shame to the family, her male relatives are bound by duty and culture to kill her. "A woman shamed is like rotting flesh," a Palestinian merchant tells me. "If it is not cut away, it will consume the body. What I mean is the whole family will be tainted if she is not killed."

This, among many other things, make me feel so grateful to be an America woman. We have basic freedoms that we take for granted every day. How sad and how hopeless it must be to live as the Muslim woman has to live, in constant fear, in constant oppresion.

I have. As an American woman, I think it would be better to die than to be treated the way that many Muslim women are treated.

I just finished a book in one day, entitled Forbidden Love. It was written by Norma Khouri. She wrote this book about her best friend of 22 years who was murdered because she fell in love with a Catholic man. Her family called it an "honor killing." I call it cold blooded and cowardly murder. Her father stabbed her 12 times as she slept. The woman's name was Dalia. She was still a virgin when she died, but her father called her a whore and when they buried her, she wasn't even placed in a coffin and he wouldn't even give her the dignity of a tombstone. He wouldn't allow her name to be mentioned in his house again. Does that sound like the love a father has for a daughter? I don't think so. What causes such contempt for women in the Middle East? Why do they hate women so?

So called honor killings still take place to this day in the Middle East for the most trivial of reasons. The offending woman may be murdered for taking too long with the laundry or because she was raped. Yes, the woman is always blamed if she is raped and her family is duty bound to kill her to preserve their "honor". The following is some information that I obtained after I read the book.

I'm very aggravated with both parties and don't feel represented at all. It seems that the only issue the Democrats are running on is the Iraq war. Most of the Democratic leaders voted to go into Iraq (Hillary, etc). Now they want to just leave. I think it was a stupid war, but we need to clean up the mess we've made.

I want to protect the environment, but neither side really does anything about it. All the environmental leadership comes from laws passed in California. Our national leaders in both parties haven't done anything.

I'd like to see a balanced budget. That's supposed to be a Republican issue, but they run us into debt faster than the Democrats do. The democrats took the line item veto away from Clinton, which would have really helped get rid of pork barrel spending.

I don't like high taxes. The democrats like to raise taxes and the republicans only cut taxes for people who don't need it.

What are your views?

He just got out of training in El Paso, we live in Northern CA, and there is no local base here (Travis AFB is 120 miles away). I've got the furniture and cars taken care of to get over there, but don't even know where to start when we get there in finding homes and getting the kids in school. The hubby is no help, as this is his first experience doing this too, and they gave us LESS THEN 2 weeks notice! And the website for Fort Shafter is no help...many links are dead! We don't even get a sponsor since we're going to be there in a week.

The threat may be real, but what is the risk element of it happening and you being involved in a terrorist attack. Chertoff says stop the hysteria. For once I have to agree with him.

Today is a somber reminder of how we were attacked by Al-Qaeda, as harbored so well by the Taliban. If you've watched any of the rebroadcast coverage of that terrible day, which clearly was felt as a first volley in a war we didn't chose, you'll perhaps be struck by how quickly, just hours in, we pointed the knowing finger at Bin Laden, and at the Taliban. Bush pledged to get the perpetators. We worked to rid Afghanistan of the regime which was so critical to Al-Qaeda's successes, and reflective of it as well.
I don't want to hear divisiveness. People who defend Bush and his policies, please try and convince us why it was right to *not* continue with our intense campaign in Afghanistan, to secure its future and prevent the reemergence of the Taliban, currently resurgent? Tell us how to avoid calling the switch-over to a regime change campaign in Iraq so quickly anything but...a big mistake?
Let's be civil, please, on this day when so much horror happened 5 years ago...
