The purpose of this knockout blow to the taxpayers was unclear.

Who will end up paying for the massive overruns, who will be accountable, and what will happen to the culprits?

Is the same thing about to happen in Seattle Washington?

I've posted about this before, but I need to find out accurate info from real cops/police officers.

A friend (over 18) has a joint credit card with her mom. She never used the card, except this once.

But before she could mail in the payment, her parents saw the transaction history online & threatened to send her to jail for using “their” card. So she got scared & lied. She said she never used it, that she didn’t even have the card anymore.

She's sent in the full payment, but she can’t tell that to her parents (since she denied using the card)

The facts are this:

1.) The credit card was/is a joint account, with 2 cards. 1 card is in the name of my friend, the other card is in the name of her mom

2.) She’s made FULL payment for the item purchased

Now, if THE PARENTS (NOT the girl) report the card as stolen OR misused (fraudulent charges) can my friend be arrested and/or prosecuted for credit card fraud or theft??

Do you think there has been any attempt to rig these machines?
We've all read the news reports about the public not being allowed to know how they work, no paper trail, etc. But is there a real risk here?

I'm confused. Some people say that racial/gender profiling is racist/sexist, but other people say thats it's okay to use it. it seems like that would be judging someone and people say that judging is wrong. So what is it?

The last time I served on a Jury, the Judge harped on endlessly on Jury Nullification.

He claimed to be God-Like [he really did] and said that the Jury was not allowed in HIS courtroom to nullify any laws as he[the Judge] chose to explain them.

He never did explain exactly whata Jury Nullification was.

So ........... what is it and is it legal in the State of Washington?

Based on a one-year in-depth study, a researcher estimates there are about 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the United States who have had an average of four victims each.

Deborah Schurman-Kauflin of the Violent Crimes Institute in Atlanta analyzed 1,500 cases from January 1999 through April 2006 that included serial rapes, serial murders, sexual homicides and child molestation committed by illegal immigrants.

She found that while the offenders were located in 36 states, most were in states with the highest numbers of illegal immigrants. California had the most offenders, followed by Texas, Arizona, New Jersey, New York and Florida.

Don't worry, I'm about to run out of these.
I was just wondering if we should revisit the Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine in regards to Mexico. Teddy Roosevelt claimed that the United States had the right to intervene itself in the domestic affairs of its neighbors "if those neighbors proved unable to protect U.S. investments in the region on their own".

So my question is this: Do you think the Mexican government is protecting U.S. investments?

Or has the time come to lead a charge up San Juan Hill?
