Well if so called conservatives would do something as basic as enforce our immigration laws then supply and demand would take care of the minimum wage issue as wages would rise on market demand.

As long as our elected officials flood the labor supply with ILLEGAL labor we need to discuss a minimum wage.

Both Democrats and republicans are pathetic and in the pockets of big business and we need to vote them all out of office.

Do you mean "...you deny ANY economic damage from raising it "...?
Sorry you've been misinformed. No respected political commentator is suggesting that poverty will end by raising the minimum wage by the paltry amounts being debated.
I don't have strong opinions on the subject myself (I am not making anywhere near the minimum wage.), but ABC News recently reported that leading economists in the U.S. report that there is no measurable harm done to the economy by raising the minimum wage. This ABC News report is from abou six weeks ago. By the way, this is the spelling you want: "bleeding heart".

When u raise the min. wage you raise the price of all products. I am not a Rep.
Many say min. wage is not enough to live on. I say you are not suppose to be making a living at a min. wage job. It is an entry level pay. If you r any good your employer will raise your pay. If not you should have enough work experience to get a better paying job. Other wise get a roomate.

Applying the logic of a liberal, the way to calculate the minimum wage would be to find the one family in the U.S. who had the largest number of children in the household, calculate exactly how much money would provide for the minimum needs of that family, and then calculate the hourly wage based on meeting that need. Simple, right?

We should lower the maximum wage to $2.00. That would make goods cheaper. I'm retired and don't care about anyone's wages.
