911, more clearly, to actively seek out those who wish to destroy our way of life before they get to us. who are these people? Islamic radicals AND those who sympathize/ignore them. that covers about all of the middle east and Europe.

think about it, what have the "peace loving Muslims" done to quiet the crazys in their religion. what have the done to stand up to these groups? nothing, so they are all guilty for it.

hey, someone has to say it.

Yes I certainly do. Terrorist sponsoring states like Iraq can not be tolerated in the post 9-11 era.

You can't on the one hand fault the President for not connecting the dot BEFORE 9-11 then AFTER quibble with the manner in which he is making sure another 9-11 never happens.

You can't have it both ways. And yes the war is worth it but don't take my word for it, ask a Marine.

Also if the seed of democracy takes root, than the new Iraq will go a long way towards civilizing that part of the world which must happen. We can not allow rouge third world states to have WMD. We cannot even allow for the possibility unless you don't mind New York City or Washington D.C. being blown to radioactive dust.

I am afraid that we will see a nuclear bomb used as a terrorist weapon on an American city in our life time. Turning dictatorships into democracies helps to make sure that does not happen.

Naturally this isn't a simple answer. First of all, The Saudis got pissed at us for being in Saudi Arabia for so long. (We were there to keep an eye on Saddam), who kept threatening our allies, the Kuwaiti's. That's why there were so many Saudis involved with 911. We had to go kick Saddam's hiney to prevent him from burning all the oil in protest of us coming after terrorists. Although there are more important matter (to me) that's number one because without oil, there is no economy, anywhere. We'd go back to living in the style of the middle ages. Number two is the WMD's. I'm sure that the intelligence was there, but I really don't care. More people died yearly (mostly children under the age of 5) when Hussein was in power than are dying now in the middle of a war. This man had child rape prisons and anyone that doesn't think we should be there trying to democratize that place just doesn't have a grasp on reality.

Do you mean the war in Iraq or the war on terror? We are at war in Iraq largely because President Bush really hated Saddam Hussein. It was Hussein who tried to kill Bush Sr, and Jr doesn't let that go easily. Bush also believes he can make the Arab world a better place by helping to form democratic governments. The president really used 9/11 as an excuse to get rid of Saddam and push for democracy. The war on terror is a more legitimate war, because some fringe elements wish to take society back to the stone age. They do violent things and a violent response is a necessary one.

No one will really figured out the true answer too this question. After yrs of searching by the UN there weren't any WMD found ,as for the oil ,we don't get that much off Iraq. The best reason I come up with ,is junior Bush wanted too get Saddam anyway he could ,because of the threats made against his Dad.So all the false reports and etc started too surfaced after he already when too war. You can see all the good people are leaving his reign as president .who can blame them. This war hasn't accomplished anything as far as I'm concerned just made most of the world hate us ,

Yes. Do you want to know why. Ok, you see, several years ago, way before 2001. There were some people who hijacked an airplane. It was a TWA airplane full of passengers. They were islamic radicals. They killed an American Marine. They held the airplane for several days before they were allowed to escape. Since that time America has been attacked time and time again. Each time the attacks became more severe. When Sept 11, 2001 happened it was just the latest attack. We finally had enough and changed our way of dealing with it. Not only did we go on the offensive but we set out to deal with potential threats. This war has been going on for years but it wasn't until 2001 when we finally got involved in a big way.

Reasons we were told (in chronological order)
1) Avenge 9/11
2) Find WMDs
3) Bring down an evil dictator
4) Build a democratic nation

Possible reasons that haven't been told
1) To line the pockets of a variety of powerful companies
2) Oil
3) Finish what Bush #1 started
4) Make more "America friendly" countries

If you're are talking about the Iraq war this is the main reason why America his there. After the golf war President Bush Sr. wanted to take sadden Housman from his presidential power but his force proves to be unsuccessful, that is when our currently President Bush became president he wanted to complete the works his father started. That is why we are it war with Iran and Iraq. But the American goes to war for three reason.
1) When their land are invaded- September 11, 2001
2) When American lives are lost- Same incident and from the gulf war.
3) For money, wealth. Iraq and Iran have Oil and so oil produce money and American wanted to take over Iran and their oil company's for them to be the world supper power./

because Bush is a power hungry man who understands people rally behind a person who starts a war in the belief that it is good for all. one person said weapons of mass destruction, there were none in Iraq. some people might say because Saddam was terrorizing his people but he has been doing that for years why didnt clinton do anything about it, because it was none of our business. i think it also could be revenge for saddams threat of GWB father. of course that is not the main reason which i cant seem to remember but did Bush really need a reason we had just been attacked by terrorists and he was retaliating

buy a country cd. listen i understand why we are at war. it is justified. however because of all the justified wars in the past we recieved the terrorist attacks. apparently you do not know the reason bin ladin attacked us. read his stataments from the past and you will understand why america will continue to be attacked. were pissing the whole world off. not just al quida but the whole world dont live inside the box. two groups of kids are mad. one is bigger than the other. the bigger breaks up all the fights between others and hurts innocent kids. the smaller group of kids gets smart and uses a weapon and kills all the big kids. game over. listen to me man we should leave other countries alone. afghanistan was justified thats it.

Because Saddam Hussein would not abide by the resolutions as put forth by the United Nations. Where are the United Nations peacekeepers from all over the world? They have all been pulled out of Iraq. Bush is still trying to squeeze patriotism out the American people. I love my country, but I don't have anymore patriotism to give to him or his administration. Nor do I have any to give to the next administration, that will surely continue to screw us into the ground.
