China isn't communist anymore, it's a capitalist dictatorship. It's a country that is run like a corporation. The government rules top down; people have no say in the county's direction. China can get away with its current mismanagement because there are almost unlimited resources, both natural resources and manual labor. The people are like expendable parts in a giant machine.
China's potential to dominate the world would be unleashed if the people were given the freedom to think, invent, and create. If the people were free, China would acheive its potential and become the world superpower.
Does the West really want that?
Here we are, wasting time supporting the Falun Gongers and a stupid little island like Taiwan, and trying to orchestrate grass-roots change of Chinese society into a democracy, and I think we're going to end up screwing ourselves if we suceed.
Do we really want a free China? Right now, they're their own worst enemy. Let them hold themselves back.

I have a friend going through an appeal, looked up his case and it states that a memorandum decision was affirmed as modified. I don't understand what that means.

Don't get me wrong, Bush is using this to scare us to give up our freedoms and privacy's. However that doesn't mean he nor our government in general had anything to do with 9/11.

Are these family members on to something? Or are they being misled? Maybe this article can shed some light. http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/july2006/080706governmentcomplicit.htm

We are all entitled to our own opinions, but some of the questions and answers on here about Republicans and Democrats are getting ridiculous! I have my opinion about what party I will vote for, no one else has to like the fact that I will vote Democrat. Let's please stop being so hateful in our answers.

This is not intended to be mean, hateful or racist. But to have a better life while living in the US, do everything you can to learn how to speak and write English correctly. Even people born and raised in the US must have good English skills in order to succeed. After 16 years of school in the US (elementary, high school and college), I still have to work at maintaining my English skills. Why, because it is required. You will not succeed or be treated fairly without it. You can say this is unfair and you may be right but that doesn't change reality.

About 1300 Lebanese died but less than 50 Israelis
Immense damage was also done to the Lebanese cities. and the wild life in the Mediterranian Sea from oilslicks, after the bombing of Lebanese oil storage tanks. Israel demonstrated that they are the super power in that region.
Surely by any reckoning, they won.

But consider this. The Israelis killed hardly any terrorists.
Inspite of their huge superiority in numbers and arms they could not stop the crudely made rockets fired against them, and they did not even get the release of their two kidnapped soldiers, who were the declared reason for their attack.

But I think the most important loss for Israel will prove to be the loss good will the western world had for their cause until now. Many people in Europe are now asking that the International Court should try some leaders for war crimes.

On the other hand you could say, to hell with world opinion, counting the damage and the dead Israel won.
I wonder what you think.

My dog's bigger than your dog, my dogs bigger than yours. Now exchange Dog with Penis and you're starting to get the idea.. so where's a site that we can actually debate on ? Anyone know where we can really argue it out with eachother as opposed to this wham bam excuse for a community ? Sorry to sound disillusioned... but right/left..it's all the same.

Homophobia= Someone who fears their childrens safety from a pervert that enjoys sticking his penis in another mans hairy anus for pleasure. Even if you don't believe in God, Nature couldn't make this mistake!
Xenophobia= Americans afraid of there own government because they are not enforcing laws already in the books and allowing a 3rd world nation to infultrate and over populate America, after it has become evident that it is destructive to our nation on so many levels!

Nicole Kidman released a statement signed by many others such as Sylvester Stallone, Michael Douglas (hardly conservative!) and Bruce Willis condemning the acts of Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations. Do you agree?
About dang time. I have a new respect for them.
