A life sentence does not mean life. It varies with both the type of crime and inmate behavior. Don't listen to these guys.
The only truly life sentence is "life without parole".

No long enough. I would think it would mean, like it did centuries ago, that the person died in jail. But now there is life with the possibility of parole and life without, but many times the person with life without parole will go to their parole board and get a shorter sentence.

i think life, but the reason they give stuff like 5 consecutive life sentences is because they become eligible for early release and stuff

They put you up for perole every 20 yrs. to see if you are elligible for release. I thought "life" should be for life, but not usually the case.
