Consider that most Abolitionists (people who wanted to free the slaves) were the "religious right" of the time, and that Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. fought for civil rights on the philosophical platform that man's laws were out of step with God's laws.
Knowing that a removal of Religion from politics would discount these two HUGE civil rights victories, can it still be said that politics is better without religion?

8/22 was the deadline the UN set for Iran's reply. However the Iranians are leaning towards allowing inspections at this point.
The US likely staged the 9/11 attack so it could go to war with Afganistan Iraq and so forth .
Now the UN picked the 22 for Iran to reply - it says it will .
Is America in one of it's black operations going to launch a nuclear strike in the middle east as justification for nuking the hell out of Iran?
If the world thought Iran launched or attempted to launch a nuke would it not give the US "permission" to utterly destroy Iran?

The only clear reason why Israel is in that miss is the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian land . if Israel implement the UN 242 resolution in full there will be an end to the on going wars in the Middle East. Israel up to this day will not tell the world and the Palestinian that it will withdraws from all the land mentioned in UN Resolution. Israel want to keep land that was never part of Israel and this is why Israel will never have a lasting peace with native Palestinian people . A viable Palestine means a viable Israel and no viable Palestine means no viable Israel and wars go on between the two people.
No one could NOT change his mind unless he has no mind.
Occupying other people by force is losing policy in the past and now and has no future.
