You've raised some very good points here, although not all Americans have the attitudes or say the things that you describe. The image of Jesus as a blue-eyed white man (without a turban or a camel) is deeply ingrained in the consciousness of many Christians. I believe that a lot of this name-calling has to do with 9/11 and the conflicts in the Middle East, and one thing that will help is if people mind their mouths and try not to allow anger and hatred to fuel the fire.

These comments are simply the truth twisted to poke fun at ethnicities. Mexicans are called beaners because they (us) eat beans, and what yes i do eat beans, White (caucasian) people are called crackers because they used to crack whips on black (African Americans) people. Asian are yelllow people and so on and so on. I don't really see what you're so offeneded by. Your people do wear turbins on their heads (except the north alliance freedom fighters) so what seems to be the problem? Do you think African Americans get upset when you ask them if the want some fried chicken? Man if you offered me a bowl of beans i would accept without hesitation. These are small ethnic trademarks which will always bee carried from generation to generation. No one is calling Jesus a towl head, which by the way i have never know of him wearing a towl on his melon. As for the rest of the comments........well people are just ignorant because they think that we have progressed from hundreds of years and they see Arabs and such wearing these items and are seen as lesser. Don't let that get you down, that's just life. Another thing, you're calling Americans ignorant? well sir, your comment just backfired on you, because your comment was naive and immature. You're calling Jesus "our darling" ?? LOL!!! you got some nerve. Any word that comes out of an "Ameican's" mouth is greatly respected or challenged. Do you know why? because we don't subject everyone to one's beliefs. We are the land of the free and maybe that is what upsets so many others who can't and will never have the same Freedom of speech or Freedom of "Religion". Also . what about all those names Arab countries have for us? People will always be ignorant towards one another specially in a country that allows so much.... Just live with it and move on
AIRBORNE!

Being with Arab background and living in the states for 13 years, my impression on this subject (and this might be true for all cultures not just the US) is that people tend to be wary of those who are different or who don't fit in. Derogatory phrases and words are used across the board when people have different race, religion, cultural background, etc. I'm by no mean justifying the usage (as I consider myself a target of these words,) I'm just trying to explain why it happens.
In my opinion not knowing each other well and not trying to create bridges of understanding exacerbates the problem. I blame myself (and put some of the blame on Americans around me) for not reaching out enough to understand one another.
End of day, people regardless of any differences aim to live a prosperous life with their humanity respected, and the US society is close to that vision with some room for improvement.

Your arguments aren't addressing the issues - what is going on is that some Americans are using these words because of their anger and outrage at the actions Arabs have been taking against Americans. You are right in being anti-Arab and creating biogoted stereotyping of Arabs is unfair and wrong - but trying to belittle American's feelings because of the misnomers in these stereotypes is not going to make Americans acting that way any less hateful towards Arabs. The Arab world to end American hate needs to remove among itself these Islamic-Fascist elements that have so enraged the US because of their imoral actions against the United States and the rest of the Western World.

In "Stupid White Men" and "Bowling For Colombine", Michael Moore introduced millions of readers and moviegoers worldwide to some of America's ills: guns, corrupt politicians, fearful citizens, unchecked corporations, crumbling social services. These are big problems for a nation that plays such a dominating international role. Understanding them is one thing, but what can be done to fix them? In his unpublished manuscript, The IHO Syndrome, Julien Ninio suggests the best way to understand America's ailments is to study their symptoms, in the same way a doctor examines a patient - and that the diagnosis is of a disease that can be cured by both Americans and non-Americans.

Ignorance breeds hatred. Most who use this language when describing Muslims are too ignorant to know better. Have pity on them and don't take their words seriously, as the value of their word is nothing.

Please don't take offense to people's ignorance. Not everyone says mean things. Just be who you are, and lead a good life. Worry about yourself and the ones you love. That is the most important aspect in life.
