Because when your government and nation is capitalistic, human life, integrity, and international treaties, become insignificant. Money is addictive, the more you can get without giving to the needy, the more you want. You can never have enough.
How is Hebollah selling out Lebonan when they are rebuilding for a southern Lebanon and the Bush Adminstration can't rebuild New Orleans or give our troops armour.

That's a ridiculous question, because you clearly know nothing about the rest of the world.

Our women aren't second-class citizens and don't wear burkas. We don't kill people if they don't want to be Muslims. We don't sell our children into the sex trade. We don't make most people starve while the rulers sit on solid gold toilets.

Your vision of the world is very slanted. Travel to India, Brazil, Iran, Uganda, Russia, Libya, and find out how 70% of the world's population really lives.

Mere profit that goes into the pockets of Bush who doesn't give a damn about any citizen that he has sworn to do the best for.
If he had to send someone from his own family to war well, he just wouldn't do it but the young people down the street would have to go and fight and die for that idiot and for why reason other then to keep this nation safe from harm and Bush could care less who comes home alive or dead.

I reject the premise of your question. That being that the U.S. actually sells out its citizens more than any other nation.

I believe the following governments have done more harm to their citizens than the U.S. government. North Korea (current administration), The Soviet Union (under Stalin), Zimbabwe under Mugabe, Cambodia under Pol Pot, Germany under Hitler, France under their revolutionary leaders and Napoleon, China under Mao, Iraq under Saddam, Afghanistan under the taliban, Lebanon under Hezbolla. (Their are more canidates but I think you get the idea)

Of course. We're capitalist.

Only a capitalist country would sell its citizens out. All other countries just trample on their citizens without due compensation.

I would say, any political leader who preaches suicide to kill innocent people is more guilty of selling out its citizens. Iran, Palestine, and Hezbollah just to name a few.
