Don't say you've done your research unless you really, truly have. Also, hearing it on TV or learning it in school doesn't count, because they are government controlled (or at least influenced) entities.

Isn't this claim hypocritical coming from someone that was born and spent their entire life in the U.S.?

Why do people so readily accept this without actually knowing if it's the truth?

Since I know people will want to attack me, I'm going to put the disclaimer up right now: I am not saying America is the best or that it's not or that it's good or bad. I am only asking if it is hypocritical to make that claim, and why people so readily accept it as truth.

I have noticed that so many different sides think they are the correct ones that nobody (governments, politicians, religious leaders) thinks that they are wrong.
I have noticed that by which media outlet (broadcast, cable, newspaper, internet) you watch you will get a different story. For example: I seen on American network T.V. that 2 americans were killed. On the internet I read (Australian news) that 2 Americans were killed and 22 Al Qeada were killed. That in itself shows truth but bias. If you do not give the whole story then why bring it up in the first place.

These people want nothing more than us (USA, Isreal, Western Societies) dead. If Isreal can not defend itself, then why or how exist. If the USA can not defend itself, then how can IT exist. At the same time if the Shiite can not defend himself how can they exist.

Your right to exist relies on your right to be human. If you feel that you are the one that is ALWAYS right, you are doomed.

But if your wrong.........

The patriot act is extremely vague and if the democrats win both houses and the presidency they could interpret the owning of certain guns or unlicensed guns as a threat to national security, this probably won't happen but you got to always look at the different possibilities of the future.
what do you think?

I was wondering if Israel is keeping palestinians occupied because they are paradoid about being pushed into the sea! Is this paranoia a holocaust hangover? Is this why they want to occupy bufferzones into other countries?

Is this policy counter-productive being the only reason Israel is hated so much in the East apart from its being a colonial graft? People of the Middle East do not see Israel as merely a Jewish home meaning to live as a friendly neighbour... but a Western conspiracy to undermine Arab an Muslim autonomy. It is seen as the last colonial garrison in the region. I think the way out is only in understanding the fears and vulnerabilities of parties in the conflict and ensuring that these are sincerely addressed. Do you think i am making sense?

Isn't intelligence (which lawyers/judges/lawmakers have) supposed to make things simple? We usually think of geniuses as people looking at a difficult question and coming up with a simple solution.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill
English economist & philosopher (1806 - 1873)

I'm curious because I remember the terrible choice we had to make two years ago. When will all the politics subside and we can have enough intelligent people to decide what's right for the improvement (not appeasement) of our people? We have spent the last 6 years embarrassing ourselves as a country by having Bush as our leader(not that Kerry could have been much better). Is there any hope for us in 2008?

Now before I get the "What do you mean by liberal" bs, I mean those of you who are eager to see your country's defeat in a war against a group of pigs and dung. You know who you are.

Anyway, I believe that without the junk from the left and the politicians who listen to and take money from them, the Iraq war would have gone a lot smoother. The American left is invested in defeat for the USA and has done everything it can to stifle America's war effort.

You can argue until you're blue in the face, that you're a good concerned citizen and you're a free thinker and all that nonsense, but the bottom line is, you can't be against the war effort and at the same time, be for your country to win.

Admit it libos.

If you found out that the government had used the Patriot Act to enter your home without your knowledge, would you feel okay with that?

I'm most interested in hearing comments from those of you who support the act...what if it were YOUR home?

How strong are they?

And my strength I don't mean how many kids they can kill.

How strong are they?

HERE ARE THE CATEGORIES:

Strong enough to bombard a city and run away?

Strong enough to get their a$$es handed to them by Hezbollah?

Strong enough to get beat by real men, then bomb innocent women and children?

Strong enough to run away all the f*cking time?

How strong (cowardly) is the IDF?
