Don't say you've done your research unless you really, truly have. Also, hearing it on TV or learning it in school doesn't count, because they are government controlled (or at least influenced) entities.
Isn't this claim hypocritical coming from someone that was born and spent their entire life in the U.S.?
Why do people so readily accept this without actually knowing if it's the truth?
Since I know people will want to attack me, I'm going to put the disclaimer up right now: I am not saying America is the best or that it's not or that it's good or bad. I am only asking if it is hypocritical to make that claim, and why people so readily accept it as truth.

Those that HAVE lived elsewhere and make the claim, I respect. Those that have not lived elsewhere, but still make that claim, I do not.
And come on, any country is better than Afghanistan. That IS no brainer. How do you know U.S. is better than Canada, Germany, Switzerland, or Norway?

Look at who this direction is asked. I don't need answers from people that HAVE lived elsewhere. Thanks, anyway.

Also notice that I said "The best" and not "great". There is a difference. Please, people. Focus!

if you have never lived elsewhere you have no comparison, therefore america really is the best to you. Relativity applies to more than just physics. when you ask a question you really have to think about the perspective of the person who responds to it.

T.V., news, internet, blogs, travel sites and forums, political forums, books, classes in school, life experiences, people from other countries who migrated in the U.S. who tell me that they left their country because things were bad over there, same with the country my family and I left 17 years ago, etc... You don't necessarily have to live in another country to know that your country is great. Also, the fact that I live in the U.S. and love the U.S. makes me somewhat bias in saying that I think the U.S. is the greatest country in the world because this it how I am used to living and life is good so far. Plus it is hard to compare most great Westernized countries because they all have lots of positives and some negatives.

properly, strictly speaking, you won't be able to easily p.c.. an arbitrary twelve months (ie. 1700). because we are all immigrants, alongside with all North, imperative, and South community individuals (via the Russian-Alaska Ice bridge); we'd all could return to Russia or Europe. no longer an altogether undesirable theory - the planet might stay alot longer if alot persons died of famine, etc. interior the previous international. because you p.c.. certainly one of these twelve months as 1700, you're making it obvious which you have self belief purely community individuals and Mexicans (aztec/spanish combination) could be right here. Sorry you chew "bitter grapes", yet it extremely is in basic terms the way U.S. braveness and intelligence overcame Mexican chaos and irrationality. we are able to attain this interior the destiny no count how briskly you breed.

Easy. I read books and watch television. The world is now a small place. I would, for example, rather live in West Virginia (a third world country in terms of medical care) than, say, Afghanistan. It is a no-brainer.
