Isn't intelligence (which lawyers/judges/lawmakers have) supposed to make things simple? We usually think of geniuses as people looking at a difficult question and coming up with a simple solution.

honestly because congress will slip things in bills that have nothing to do with the main reason the bill is there just to get it passed.....

I believe that the Defending councils ie Lawyers Solicitors Barristers and so on.When they know that there client IS guilty ( because there client HAS confess to them that yes they did commit the offense. Then they are as guilty as there client. At the end of the day it all comes down to money.If there client has wealth and position then they will bend the law to make sure there client goes free.The law should be amended so that if it is found that the accused was guilty of the offense even after they are acquitted should be brought back to face another trial.
By the way Client confidentiality is the biggest loop hole and get out in the criminal courts. Bargaining pleas used in America is a crime against the ordinary man and women in any state.

Lawyers, judges and lawmakers are the ones causing this. It is those profession's jobs to find loopholes in everything they can, so making the laws more intricate leaves less room for finding said loopholes.

there getting more intricate for one simple reason so that there can be loop holes. Also if know one is really sure what it means then allows more room to interpate by other people. the constution was written in plain english for the time and you understand it. the lawyersof the world don't like that making the laws hard to understand makes them feel needed.
