To begin this question I support a law to be passed that will give illegals a chance to gain citizenship after they pay fines, have no warrants and commited no crimes and learn english. I would prefer to ship them all back to Mexico but since there are so many it would be impossible. These immigrants who have broken a law want the rights of a U.S. citizen who has commited no crimes. When I hear this it makes me mad because they are being selfish. I understand they need money and want a better life. Hell I do but I do not break the law in order to do it. What is your opinion on the whole immigration issue and do illegals deserve the rights we enjoy without paying some kind of retribution to our government for the money we have spent on them?

I had decided to go get a soda from the machine at von's around midnight. I took my bicycle. On my way back I noticed a police car silently pass me, something in myself said "hm.. I hope not". I stopped for a light, one block from home, when the same car appears behind me. I tense up & see and hear an obvious lesbian dyke-y cop in the passenger side say "are you ok ma'am?". Nothing was going wrong. I say "no, no crimes here".She proceeds to get out of car, ask me get off bike, frisks me, touches my breasts as well, ask me if Im "on drugs", argues that I have an attitude, ask me if I "graduated from high school" and "are you stupid!?". All kinds of insulting, demeaning things. Now they switch their story and say I don't have my bike lite on. I am totally STUNNED, as a carload of gangbangers slow down to watch and the real crime gets away!!! I keep saying "what did I do?". The male cop bellows "we don't like your attitude!!" What can I do. This is harrassment & I was traumatized :(

For example, if a manager goes over his budget at work, he is in trouble, possibly fired. If the government goes over budget, citizens say "that's okay! We'll pay more in taxes!"

If a business does a poor job, then the business will fail. If a government agency does a poor job, they get more funding.

If a corporation is caught in fraudulent activity, people will not stand for it, and will demand that the responsible party is fired, and the corporation may be shut down. If the government is caught in fraudulent activity, people accept it as "just part of the government", and don't demand their termination.

Unemployment rate is at the highest it has ever been and we have some of the highest Gas Prices...Michigan $3.29 a gal. The government takes 60% of that, State takes 6% and the Gas station takes 1% . Why doesnt the government lessen their percentage they take out if they really want to help our country? I'm sorry, I do love Bush but ever since he has been in office there has been a 240% increase in the price of gas which is still getting higher and higher.

I think Ahmadinejad is the worst leader in the world. He is worse than saddam. He kills thousands of innocent people in his own country. What do you think? Are the dams on the Columbia River worth the cost of not allowing these beautiful fish to survive? I'm a fisherman and try to see both sides, but the more I look at the power created by the dams that seems to only benifit a few I wonder, and the loss of money in the States that depend on the fish for the revenue, I wonder what is the best thing to do? what do you think? Should the dams be breached or let them stay as is?

My husband got into some trouble and got a diversion for a felony charge. This happened 2 years ago, and he has completed all of the community service and paid back what he had to. He wants to get a job as a police officer when he comes home from Iraq. But a recruiter that he talked to, said that he, and every other police station wouldn't hire him bc thats on his record. So will he ever be able to be a cop? He passed the Army's background check. He can go to Iraq for 16 months, but he can't be a police officer?!

I forgot something and had to come right back, she is not the owner, but she has keys to all apt., when I caught her she pretended she was going into the mailbox which was right outside my door, but on the opposite side of the hall. I changed the bottom lock, but the next day the owner called me and said I had to give her a key. How did they know that quick that I had changed the lock. And they have to give me a notice before they can come into my apt. I just moved in and there were other signs that someone had been in my apt. before that. And she denys that she was in my apt or at my door but I know what I saw and if she just saw me leave for work what was she doing at my door anyway? By the time I got out my car she was at the mail box with her key in a mail box, but it was not her mail box. I belive the owners is aware of her behavior or how did he know that I changed the lock the next day before I could even tell him, he called me. Now he wants a key for her.Whats a single girl do

Leftists are so contempteous of this religious creation they call "class" and foam at the mouth at the thought of some burgeouise living "higher on the hog". They call it egalitarinism now cause it sounds so nice...everything should be "equal" so the religion says.

Well, seems to me, the biggest advanatage in life was always in the physical domain. Dont they say the average CEO is a tall guy? We have studies that prove even babies respond more favorably to better looking people.

So religious wacko leftists, tell me now, if we are to chop everyone down to one "class", wont favoritism on inequality merely sort out even more profoundly than it already does along high school-like clickish lookers and geeks?

Certainly, if things are to be truely equal no one should be better looking than another, otherwise the well know inequalties work against me and for him,
