Besides more opportunity, more services, etc. available to them than back in their original countries, illegal immigrants seem to have more "rights" and freedoms in the US than they did as citizens of these other places. As citizens in other lands, these people cannot criticize their government or leaders; as illegal aliens they can protest the USA inside the USA. The US is known as the Melting Pot for its cultural/ethnic diversity and has the most liberal immigration policy anywhere and, yet, is considered racist for trying to enforce its' (very liberal) immigration policy? Every nation on the globe that has ever existed was formed on the conquest and domination of,or, negotiation with others and yet so many want to somehow "punish" only the USA for this. "Native"Americans,although they certainly where here thousands of years before Europeans arrived, also immigrated to North and South America from Asia. With more Spanish-only speakers here, people who speak other languages now

Unfortunately, if you dare to argue any of the many valid reasons against illegal immigration and amnesty, you will be called names and faced with a myriad of nonsensical excuses (from the pro-illegal alien crowd and their lobbyists):
1.Tradition:
MYTH: As George Bush said: "We are a land of immigrants". We can not pull up the drawbridge now, unless we dismantle the Statue of Liberty. Otherwise, we are all hypocrites.
TRUTH: This is a common ploy. Yes, we are a land of immigrants. Mostly legal. We are enriched by legal immigration; not by massive, uncontrolled, illegal immigration.
2.Economics:
MYTH: The U.S. will crumble without illegal aliens. We need immigrants to pay the Social Security of the Baby Boomers when they begin to retire. Immigrants do jobs citizens won’t do. Who would pick our produce? Who would make the beds and wash the dishes?
TRUTH: This is a common myth, since illegal aliens are costing U.S. tax payers a net loss of at least $70 billion

So they have decided that it is FINALLY time to raise the minimum wage, but at a cost. They want to pass a property inheritance tax exemption. and what that means is that in order for minimum wage workers to get a raise in the minimum wage the government wants to pass legislation that makes it where the top 7500 richest people don't have to pay the inheritance tax. COME ON?!?! does anyone else think this is completly rediculous?!?! What is going on we are being a$$ raped by the government. Why is president bush calling for a sustainable peace? WTF where does he get off telling other countries to stop fighing? He is a fuking hypocrite and he is a loser. And how can the US tell people that they can't have nuclear weapons, but NOOO it's ok for us to posess nuclear weapons. Why are we trying to get israel/palestine to stop fighting? We are in a war of our own and we have no room to talk. I think our whole governmental system is pathetic. It is run by a bunch of monkey's. i was walking home from school one day and this guy (white, about 45) stopped me and asked me if i knew where a street was, i told him how to get there and he asked me if i was going that way. i said no and he drove off... but then a week ago (about 4 months later) the same man asked me the same thing. and then again tonight..he keeps asking for the same street and if i am going that way....what should i do...? he is a bad actor if he's acting and always acts like he's looking at this map..he kind of followed me a little tonight, i was so scared but i dont know what to do about it...
