I am not being specific about any woman in particular, but if a woman held the same views as you, and had a voting record to prove it, would you vote for a woman?

clynnc0 seems to think that most men are afraid of powerful women. The truth is that we are afraid of the wrong woman being elected, just as we are afraid of the wrong man being elected.

When I vote the decision is based on the candidate's platform, not their gender or race. Education and political record are important as well, but in your scenario--a female candidate whose views are in line with my own--I would certainly vote for a female candidate.

I think it would be good for this country to have a woman President. Change a lot of things that need to be changed. Just be sure it is a woman who is smart and really cares about America, not another Hillary. Or Condi for that matter. One is a megalomaniac and the other is oblivious to certain parts of society.

As long as she is qualified for the position, with the appropriate background, education and level of intelligence, it would not be an issue. Though, it can never be Hillary Clinton. The candidate's children would have to be grown-up in order for her to handle the responsibilities, travel, appearances, time commitment, stress levels, etc..
Now if Hillary Clinton were to marry Arnold Schwarzenegger, she could run and he could be First Lady. Maria could have fun with Bill at his California mansion. Hillary Schwarzenegger for President... They could call her the Clintonegger...

Yes, I would vote for a woman who was firmly based in her beliefs and if she was particularly adept at bringing people together to end this nightmare of partisanship we see daily in DC.

Only the ones who are "in touch" with their feminine side would support some lunk-head broad as president.
