If you actually get re-sentenced, then you will go before the judge who sets aside your old sentence at an appeal and will recieve a new sentence. This is an appeal of sentence
If as part of your sentence, you after being in jail for a short period is given parole or boot camp that is normally done by the correctional authority because of security level, prison population and other factors

I think the term you are looking for is shock probation. In some cases, the original judge will order you to jail for a short term to shock you, then call your case back in and re-evaluate it to see if you can be given probation instead of jail time.

A person can only be resentenced if he or she is convicted of committing another crime.
The commission of another crime after one has already been convicted of a previous crime is called recidivism.

I think what you are seeking is either:
a suspension of sentence,
exoneration of sentence,
commutation of sentence,
clemency,
conditional release,
expungement,
probation,
or parole.
